(KGTV) -- Foot Locker is helping voters get a leg up this election year.The athletic retailer is partnering with the nonprofit Rock the Vote to turn all of its U.S. stores into temporary voter registration sites.Beginning Sept. 22, Foot Locker will have registration kiosks with a website where visitors can check their voter status, register to vote or sign up for election reminders.The company has more than 2,000 stores in the U.S., including seven locations in San Diego County.Foot Locker says the initiative is targeted at the more than 4 million young Americans eligible to vote this year. CEO Richard Johnson said the goal is to “educate and amplify the voices of today's youth.”Kids Foot Locker, Lady Foot Locker, Champs Sports, and Footaction will also house kiosks. 785

(KGTV) — For Chula Vista native Cesar Moreno, instinct — and training — kicked in when a 7.0-magnitude earthquake struck near Anchorage, Alaska, Friday."I went straight under my desk and I was just praying," Moreno recalled. "I was afraid I was going to die."Moreno said training for earthquakes while living in San Diego as a child helped prepare him for what to do. (KGTV) – Disneyland is bringing the appeal of a secluded, tropical oasis to guests.Disneyland has revealed a first look at its new "Tropical Hideaway" outpost in the theme park's Adventureland area. The outpost has been fashioned into an exotic marketplace along the Jungle River attraction waterfront.Prior to the revamp, fans will recall the area was home to "Aladdin's Oasis."RELATED: Disneyland's 'Aladdin's Oasis' will soon be transformed into a tropical hideawayGuests can find "Tropical Hideaway" by crossing its main bridge, through the park's "Enchanted Tiki Room" or from “Skipper’s Walk,” a pathway at the Jungle Cruise loading dock. Once there, guests will be greeted by colorful array of tropical decor and at night, tiki torches illuminating the secretive jungle vibe.And there will be plenty for guests to enjoy there.
