WASHINGTON, D.C. – Members of the U.S. House of Representatives voted Wednesday to impeach President Donald Trump on allegations of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress following an entire day of debate on the House floor. The House Rules Committee adopted guidelines Tuesday that spelled out how the vote went down. Under those rules, Democrats and Republicans had six hours to debate the impeachment articles. The time was split evenly between the two parties. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi opened the debate by accusing Trump of violating the Constitution and urging members to honor their oath of office. "It is tragic that the president's reckless actions make impeachment necessary,” said Pelosi. “He gives us no choice."The debate was controlled by Reps. A 19-year-old man arrested in a San Antonio shooting that left two people dead and wounded five others says he was acting in self-defense when he opened fire during a concert at a bar. Kiernan Christopher Williams is expected to face capital murder charges for the Sunday night shooting at a bar in the San Antonio River Walk area called Ventura. As Williams was taken into custody Monday, he promoted his own Instagram account and described himself as “an upcoming artist.” He says he regrets “everything that I did.” The medical examiner's office identified the men killed as Robert Martinez and Alejandro Robles. 627

You never know what the tide might bring in. Guests at a resort on Fort Lauderdale beach witnessed an unusual object wash up on shore: a 20-foot cross. “I was getting calls from the front desk, from the tiki bar, from the guests,” describes Frank Talerico, owner of Ocean Manor Resort. The large cross washed up on the beach outside the resort a few weeks ago. “When I saw it, I got goosebumps,” Talerico says. “I couldn't believe it.” It took 10 men in all to pull the cross out of the water.Since then, many have come by to see it in person. It’s even been blessed by a priest. “When we were here the other night, there were people kneeled all around it praying,” describes one woman.The resort has turned it into Fort Lauderdale's latest tourist attraction, bringing in people from all over the country.
