(KGTV) -- La Mesa Police are searching for several suspects they say robbed three Grossmont High School students at gunpoint.According to the city, the students were walking westbound on Murray Drive just before 1 p.m. Wednesday when a blue Nissan Sentra pulled into a Shell gas station and stopped.The driver of the car got out of the vehicle and demanded money from the students. As the first suspect demanded cash, a passenger in the vehicle pointed a handgun at the victims.After taking money from two of the students, the suspects left the scene.Police described the first suspect as a light-skinned Hispanic man, approximately 17 or 18 years old, with brown eyes, a mustache, and groomed eyebrows.The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 18-19 years old, with black wavy hair and light-colored tips. LEMON GROVE (CNS) - The Lemon Grove Goodwill store had to be evacuated today after authorities received a report of a grenade being found.Dispatchers were told around 10:30 a.m. that someone found a possibly-functional grenade at the Goodwill on Broadway near Lemon Grove Avenue, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.The Bomb and Arson Unit went to the store to investigate.A sheriff's department spokesman said he couldn't confirm if the grenade was determined to be live or not, but said investigators had cleared the scene and the store was safe to enter. 584

LAKELAND, Fla. -- A 90-year-old Florida man who dressed in full protective gear to say goodbye to his wife, has died of COVID-19.In a Facebook post, Sam Reck's son-in-law shared the news that Sam has died.JoAnn Reck, Sam's wife of 30 years, died a few weeks earlier after battling COVID-19. She was 86 years old and Sam was 90.Sam Reck had been separated from his wife JoAnn Reck during the pandemic after the state placed a ban on visitors at nursing homes. JoAnn lived in a nursing home and suffered from dementia, and Sam lived in an apartment nearby.Family members said the couple would schedule socially-distant visits once Sam couldn't visit the home any more. But others are hoping technology and personalized training could help them save brick and mortar gyms.“Last year, I had one knee replaced. I'm scheduled to have the other one this fall,” said 69-year-old Larry Fulhorst. He hadn’t been to a gym in 40 years, but he needed to work on building strength in his legs.A Facebook post led him to a hi-tech fitness studio promising results without needing to spend hours sweating away in a crowded gym.“This sounds too good to be true 20 minutes twice a week," said Fulhorst. The Exercise Coach is a smart fitness studio that trades dumbbells and treadmills for artificial intelligence and robotics. Technology diagnoses strengths and weaknesses in real time.“We use sensors to actually get a feel for the exact muscular makeup and abilities of an individual and then we use that that personal data to generate appropriate strength training,” explained Bryan Cygan, the CEO and founder of The Exercise Coach.The programs are geared primarily toward people who haven’t worked out in years or are starting to exercise for the first time.“Generally, people in their 40, 50s, 60s and even beyond who want real results from a workout but don't want to spend a lot of time exercising,” said Cygan.With many big box gyms filing for bankruptcy as gym goers are weary about coronavirus, smart fitness studios are pivoting in.Compressed workouts, personal trainers and no crowds are key.“It works because our workout isn't an hour long of sweaty cardio. LAND O' LAKES, Fla. — Pasco County, Florida Sheriff's Office is investigating in incident where a Sunlake High School Resource Officer slammed a student during an arrest.PCSO says that the incident occurred Tuesday when the school administration requested the school resource officer, Rich Stackon, remove a student from the cafeteria.Leading up to the incident, school administrators asked the student to return to class several times before the SRO was called in. The student was reportedly skipping class and being disruptive.According to deputies, when the male SRO attempted to place the female student in custody she resisted arrest.In a video, recorded by another student, the SRO can be seen slamming the student to the ground after resisting. 784
