After the New York Police Department responded to two suspicious packages Thursday evening at the Time Warner building in New York, the department deemed the incident a "false alarm." The false alarm came following a string of explosive devices that have been sent to Democratic Party leaders across the nation."As a precaution, the NYPD is currently evaluating a pair of unattended packages at the Time Warner Center Mall, Columbus Circle in Manhattan," NYPD said on Twitter during the investigation.Parts of the Time Warner building were evacuated as police investigated. On Wednesday, the Time Warner building was evacuated for several hours after police removed a suspected explosive device sent to ex-CIA Director John Brennan in care of CNN.  776

Aldon Smith, who was the NFC's Defensive Player of the Year, has a warrant out for his arrest on Monday after a possible domestic incident from the weekend, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. Smith is wanted on charges of misdemeanor domestic violence, assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury, false imprisonment and vandalism, the Chronicle reported. Earlier the in the day, the Oakland Raiders released Smith. The incident in question was reportedly Saturday evening, and the victim identified Smith as the suspect. TMZ reported that Smith checked into a rehab facility on Monday. Smith has had frequent encounters with law enforcement. The Chronicle reported that Smith has three previous DUI arrests. He was also arrested in June 2012 when illegal weapons were found at his house during a party where two people were shot, and he was stabbed.  908

Agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) have recovered two nude photographs of a woman taken by Metro Nashville Police Sergeant Rob Forrest while he was being paid by taxpayers to protect Nashville Mayor Megan Barry.That detail is contained in a new search warrant filed Wednesday, seeking permission from a judge to search Barry's mobile phone.TBI agent Joshua Savely said in his affidavit that the face of the woman is not visible in the photographs recovered from Metro Police emails.Those photos appear to have been taken on Forrest's city-issued iPhone, then deleted, the affidavit says.Still, Savley wrote that a separate picture recovered from Forrest's phone shows Barry wearing clothing similar to items visible in one of the nude photos. Barry can also be seen carrying a purse similar to one that appears in another nude picture."Your affiant believes that probable cause exists to show that Rob Forrest used a department issued iPhone 6s Plus while on duty," Savley wrote."It will also show that on May 15, 2017, and on October 18, 2017, he used this phone to photograph a nude or partially nude female. Actress Naya Rivera was reportedly laid to rest last week after tragically passing away after drowning in early July while visiting Lake Piru in California.Rivera's death certificate, which was obtained by People and The Blast, said that the former "Glee" star died within a "manner of minutes," People reported. The death certificate also noted that her death was not contributed to any other significant factors.After her body was recovered on July 13, the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy, which revealed that Rivera accidentally drowned during a boat trip with her 4-year-old son.CNN reported that Naya was laid to rest on July 24 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Los Angeles.Deadline said that Naya's last TV appearance will be in season 3 of Netflix's baking competition show "Sugar Rush," which would be released Friday. 863
