PARIS, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping left Paris on Monday evening after attending the opening ceremony of the UN climate change conference.
President Xi will pay a state visit to Zimbabwe Dec. 1 - 2 on his way to South Africa for the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation summit, making it the fourth African country he has visited since assuming office.
The highly-anticipated meeting aims to yield a new international agreement to reduce greenhouse gases beyond 2020 when the 1997 Kyoto Protocol expires.
"I hope that both sides will keep up the momentum to achieve new progress in their economic cooperation zone and in infrastructure construction projects like expressways and railways," Li said.
"The speech by President Xi Jinping was great. He spoke candidly on issues that are dear to us African people. He also highlighted weighty issues regarding China-Africa cooperation," Molewa said.
