WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — An 8-year-old has gone above and beyond this holiday season.Aiden Foster didn’t give up until a West Palm Beach woman found her cat which ran away weeks ago.The past 10 years Ashley Goldstein and her furry friend, Tobin, have been inseparable. But just days after they settled into a new home, Tobin disappeared.“I was desperate to find him. I put flyers up,”Goldstein said.She searched for several days which then turned into weeks, still no sign of Tobin.“Honestly I thought I was never going to see him again. I kinda gave up,” she said.At that moment, a glimmer of hope.Ashley received a phone call with the news that she’d been desperately waiting for.“It’s this little boy telling me that he thinks he saw my cat,” she explained.It was Foster, the neighborhood pet detective, who promised to help.“I saw him in the backyard he ran over the fence,” Foster said.Aiden kept his word and went above and beyond, using a little creativity in the process.“So I tried to go after him and I just couldn’t so I just put my cat food that was there, I put a trail all the way down there left a whole big pile over there ,” Foster said.60 days after his disappearance, Ashley received her Christmas miracle. (AP) - President Donald Trump is contradicting the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on the potential availability of a coronavirus vaccine to the general public and on mask-wearing.Trump said Wednesday that a vaccine will be available as early as October and in mass distribution soon afterward — much sooner than was projected in congressional testimony earlier in the day by Dr. Robert Redfield.Trump says Redfield “made a mistake” when he told lawmakers that any vaccine available in November or December would be in “very limited supply,” and reserved for first responders and people most vulnerable to COVID-19. WAVELAND, Miss. — Storm-weary Gulf Coast residents are preparing for a new weather onslaught as Tropical Storm Sally churns northward. Forecasters from the National Hurricane Center in Miami said Sally is expected to become a hurricane on Monday and reach shore by early Tuesday, bringing dangerous weather conditions including risk of flooding to a region stretching from the western Florida Panhandle to southeast Louisiana. Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards urged people to prepare for the storm immediately. He also said there are still many from southwestern Louisiana who evacuated from Hurricane Laura into New Orleans — exactly the area that could be hit by Sally.As the Gulf Coast braced for Sally, Bermuda was hunkered down and riding out the effects of Hurricane Paulette. That storm — with maximum sustained winds of 90 mph as of 4 a.m. ET — was hovering above the Atlantic island nation as of Monday morning. The storm is expected to impact Bermuda throughout the day on Monday before moving west on Tuesday.Also on Monday, Tropical Storm Teddy formed in the eastern Atlantic Ocean. According to National Hurricane Center forecasts, it's not expected to make landfall until next week if it doesn't dissipate by then.Teddy marks the 19th named storm of 2020.
