House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office is responding to criticism after she got her hair done inside a San Francisco salon, amid a citywide coronavirus restrictions on salons.A statement from her office acknowledges Pelosi and her staff relied on the information provided by someone at the salon about what was allowed by the new city regulations that went into effect last Friday, according to multiple outlets.The statement came after Fox News shared a video showing Pelosi inside the salon. Fox talked to the salon’s owner, Erica Kious, who told the news outlet, “it was a slap in the face” that Pelosi could go in and “get her stuff done” while the owner and others can’t work.Kious said it was an independent stylist who rents a chair from her."This business offered for the speaker to come in on Monday and told her they were allowed by the city to have one customer at a time in the business," Pelosi's Deputy Chief of Staff Drew Hammill said in the statement. (KGTV) - A recent break to a sewage pipe south of the U.S.-Mexico border is allowing sewage to flow freely into the Tijuana River Valley and Pacific Ocean, officials say.The International Boundary and Water Commission (IBWC) said they were alerted to the break in the Tijuana sewage pipe by Mexico authorities recently. The pipe broke Dec. 7, according to Imperial Beach Mayor Serge Dedina, though the city was notified Tuesday.IBWC officials said Wednesday, "CESPT (Tijuana Water Utility) has informed us through the Mexican Section that a rupture was discovered yesterday on the Colector Poniente in Southeast Tijuana. This rupture caused the soil above the pipe to collapse in an auto junkyard. Several sinkholes were discovered yesterday by the workers at the property and notified CESPT who then diverted the flows upstream to a stormwater collector which drains to the Tijuana River. "The IBWC estimated the flow of sewage into the Tijuana River to be at 300 liters per second, or approximately 7 millions gallons per day. HUDSON, Florida — People living in a Florida nudist community say they're tired of not getting their mail from the postal service. The nudists at the Eden RV Resort in Hudson say one carrier refuses to deliver mail inside of their community because it makes her uncomfortable. Residents are outraged and are concerned they're missing important pieces of mail."There's a postal creed and it doesn't say anything about them not coming to nudist resorts.
