Myrtle Beach, South Carolina's police department is dealing with national scrutiny after police removed a man after he reportedly purchased a meal for homeless man inside of a McDonald's.The incident, which took place on Wednesday, was recorded on video, and has since gone viral, generating a national buzz. Nearly 40 million people have viewed the video in the 24 hours since it has been released. The incident happened after police were attempting to remove a man, who is reportedly homeless was eating a meal inside McDonald's. The man recording the incident claimed that he brought the man into the McDonald's and purchased him a meal."You guys suck... He didn't ask me for food, I saw him across the street and brought him over here for food," Yossi Gallo said. Gallo was then warned that he was being disorderly."I’m getting kicked out of here because I gave a homeless guy food,” Yossi Gallo said on the video he posted. Gallo and the homeless man were removed from the McDonald's by police. Police claim that the homeless man was asking people for money. A claim Gallo disputed. Myrtle Beach Police released a statement involving Wednesday's incident: Officers were dispatched to the location after receiving a call, from an employee of the business, that a male was in the parking lot asking people for money. Upon arriving at the restaurant, an employee approached the officer and indicated the male was inside the establishment. The employee requested the officer issue a trespassing warning and asked that the person leave the premises. The officer advised the male of the request made by the business and issued the warning. A bystander, who was videotaping the incident was also trespassed from the location, at the request of the manager, for what management deemed as disorderly behavior. 1858

MILWAUKEE — Jacob Blake is out of the hospital and in a rehabilitation center, his attorney says.Blake was in Froedtert Hospital since Aug. 23, when Kenosha Police Officer Rusten Sheskey fired seven rounds into Blake's back.Blake's attorney declined to say when exactly Blake left the hospital, or how long he is expected to remain at the rehabilitation center. Blake's family said he had been paralyzed from the waist down. It appears his condition has improved somewhat, as he is now recovering in an unidentified rehabilitation center.Blake was initially handcuffed to his hospital bed after the shooting. Police said at the time that the handcuffs were necessary because Blake still had an outstanding warrant on him. After he posted bond and with the help of local lawmakers, the handcuffs were removed, and the police officers guarding his door left.Officer Sheskey has not been charged in the shooting. Sheskey's attorney says the officer believed at the time that Blake may have been trying to drive off with a woman's child.On August 23, Officers were initially called to a domestic incident. There, they attempted to arrest Blake on an outstanding warrant for third degree sexual assault charges. Blake tried to get into his car, when the officer fired his service gun into Blake's back.The shooting quickly became national news as protests erupted in Kenosha and across the U.S.After a few nights of demonstrations in Kenosha, a 17-year-old man opened fire on the crowd, hitting three people. Two people died and the third was taken to the hospital. The teen, Kyle Rittenhouse, was arrested at his home in Illinois and he is now facing extradition to Wisconsin and charges in the shooting deaths. NBA commissioner Adam Silver said Tuesday that he believes that the league's next season won't begin until 2021."We said a week ago or so that the earliest we would start is Christmas of this year," Silver told sportscaster Bob Costas during an appearance on CNN Tuesday. "But the more I'm learning and listening to Dr. Fauci this morning, I continue to believe that we're going to be better off getting into January."The NBA season typically tips off in October, with the NBA Finals culminating in June. However, the current 2019-2020 season was delayed for several months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the league is currently is still in the midst of the conference semifinals.In addition, Silver said Tuesday that it's the league's goal to play a standard 82-game season and playoffs in 2021."Further, the goal would be to play games in home arenas in front of fans, but there's still a lot we need to learn in terms of rapid testing, for example. Would that be a means of getting fans into our building? Will there be other protections?" Silver said.Upon restarting its season in July, the NBA opted to hold all games and board all players, coaches and team personnel at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Disney World. Players and coaches must remain at the resort at all times in order to be eligible to play. Only about two-thirds of teams continued play in the 2020-21 season, and a seeding round was conducted before the standard playoffs began.MLB and the NFL chose to play games in home stadiums with limited or no attendance upon the start of their seasons. Months after removing all assault rifles from all 732 of its stores, Dick's Sporting Goods is considering removing all hunting gear from its stores, company CEO Edward Stack said in a conference call, according to CBS News. Stack said on the call that Dick's will test the concept at 10 locations. The 10 locations selected were ones where hunting goods were not selling well. "We'll have to wait and see how the 10-store test does," Stack said on the call. CBS reported that Stack added that there are a number of additional locations where selling hunting goods are difficult. The additional space could be used for Dick's to sell higher-margin items, such as outerwear and clothing for team sports, especially baseball and soccer. CBS reported that Dick's adjusted same-store sales were down 3.9 percent in the third quarter of 2018 compared to 2017. Following Wednesday's announcement, stocks for Dick's rose 2.4 percent, showing that investors welcomed the news.  1026
