(KGTV) - A Girl Scout troop fundraiser is ruffling a few feathers in Point Loma, over a name that some people think is too risque for the girls.Troop 4920 started the "Get Flocked" project this spring, offering to cover people's yards in plastic flamingos for a donation."We took our name from the "Got Milk" campaign," says Troop Leader Cam Bowman. "So we were like, hey, let's do "Got Flocked?" Then we turned it to the present tense, 'Get Flocked.' "Bowman says someone complained to the local Girl Scout council that the name sounds too much like a profanity. She was surprised when she learned of the complaint."You know, I think that happens with everything in life," she says. "We're always going to have controversy. We have controversy when we sell cookies!"For their part, the scouts say they don't think the name has anything to do with a dirty word. They're having too much fun planting flamingos to think about that."You get in and get out," says Scout Elyse Bonar. "You don't want people to see you. That's kind of the whole point, be like ninjas."The girls ask for a donation to "flock" somebody's yard within their Troop's zip code boundaries. They'll also remove the flamingos if requested.They're trying to raise money to attend the annual ceremony in San Francisco where thousands of Junior Scouts walk across the Golden Gate Bridge together as they get promoted to Cadet Scouts. It's a symbolic coming of age moment for the girls.Elyse says working to raise the money for the trip, even with a fun flamingo project, has taught her a valuable life lesson."It's taught me how if you want to get something, don't quit, keep going and try your hardest to get your goal," she says.The "Get Flocked" project is one of several that Troop 4920 do over the year. The money they raise from cookie sales goes to local charities. They're also collecting used markers to send to Crayola for recycling.As for the controversy over the name, Bowman says the Girl Scout leaders left it up to her and the Troop to decide what to do. They chose to keep the project going forward, with the same name."We have to put those decisions back on the girls," she says. "Money-earning projects are hard. Cookie sales are hard. PHOENIX - Kyrsten Sinema has defeated Martha McSally in the highly contested race for an Arizona Senate seat, per the Associated Press. This comes after several days of ballot counting and controversy over rural county results.Sinema (D) defeated McSally (R) for the seat previously held by Senator Jeff Flake, who chose not to run again in this election.On Friday, Republican and Democrat leaders agreed to give rural counties a second chance to fix ballot issues with voters. GOP leaders hoped the move would help Republicans gain votes for McSally in the race, but Sinema's lead was eventually too wide to recover from.  With this win, Sinema will be named the first female U.S. Senator from the state of Arizona.Democrats are projected to have at least 47 Senate seats at the start of the new Congress in 2019. Republicans have clinched 51 seats, with Republican Rick Scott holding a narrow lead in Florida's US Senate race. OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Forever 21 is one of a handful of stores that allows men and women to try on clothes in the same area.Now, some shoppers believe it might be time for a change.This comes after a man was charged for allegedly recording a woman and a girl inside a Forever 21 changing room at the Overland Park mall.“For a place like this, I don't think that's appropriate at all to have men, women and children in the same dressing room at all,” said Jaymee Henderson, who shops at Forever 21.Scripps station KSHB in Kansas City sat down with an attorney to find out what the laws are when it comes to recording video in a clothing store like this.Attorney Bernie Rhodes said anything within the store is fair game."If I want to walk into a Forever 21 store and put my cell phone in my breast pocket and film my interaction with the sales clerk, that's perfectly legal,” said Rhodes.But once you get to the dressing room area, the rules change."What a store can't do is install a security camera in the bathroom or dressing rooms because there we have what we call an expectation of privacy. The same is true for perverts,” said Rhodes.Rhodes said a person can record themselves in the dressing room with their own device.In the Forever 21 dressing rooms, there is a large gap between the floor and the fitting room wall. That’s how prosecutors allege a man took video of a girl and a woman on his cell phone.A petition on Change.org is calling on the store to separate their dressing rooms by gender, but Rhodes believes that change won’t prevent people from breaking the law."It falls upon the individual who is acting illegally, he or she knows what they're doing is wrong. You can make the wall go all the way to the floor and they'll drill a hole in it,” said Rhodes.He says privacy laws can be violated anywhere, not just in the dressing room at a clothing store."Unfortunately, it does happen more often than we'd like to think,” said Rhodes.KSHB reached out to Forever 21 to find out if they intend to make changes to their fitting rooms, we have not heard back. 2102

People living in the Florida Panhandle are scrambling to prepare their homes and businesses for Hurricane Michael.The Category 2 storm is currently in the Gulf of Mexico, and it’s expected to gain strength as it makes landfall Wednesday.Officials ordered an evacuation by noon Tuesday in Pensacola Beach, but for those residents staying, they are spending the day preparing.Randall King lived through Hurricane Opal, a Category 3 storm that hit the coast in 1995. He says his Pensacola home took in about 6 feet of water during that devastating storm. That’s why he doesn’t take warnings lightly.“If you're that close to the cone of uncertainty, always be certain to be prepared,” he says. However, everyone didn’t spend the day preparing for the storm. A group of people were seen on the beach.“It’s not too bad right now,” says Abisai Avelar, a Pensacola resident. “Just for the thrill of it, for the experience. Couple guys wanted to come out.
