For creative positions, subtle patterns and more color works.And while some people might only dress their top half for the interview, Costa said dressing like you're in the same room as the interviewer is the best bet."It fires those engines on mentally that you're there and ready to go," Costa said. The Keystone State is living up to its name, as potentially the linchpin in who becomes America’s next president.“Their processes just were never anticipating such an influx,” said Matthew Weil, with the Bipartisan Policy Center.It’s an influx of early absentee and mail-in ballots, in numbers Pennsylvania has never dealt with before. The state received about 2.5 million mail-in ballots, 10 times the number they had in 2016. Yet, counting all of the state’s ballots will take a while.Watch Gov. Tom Wolf provide an update about the state's election results:“In some of the biggest jurisdictions--Philadelphia, Pittsburgh--they just didn't have the experience counting those quickly,” Weil said. “And the fact that the legislature did not give them time before Election Day to count those, even knowing that this was coming, means that most likely we're not going to have great results until Friday.”Among the areas to watch in Pennsylvania: the suburban counties around the state’s two biggest cities, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. That includes Bucks County, which lies just north of Philadelphia.“Counting the ballots is really an uncertain science for us,” said Bob Harvie, Bucks County Board of Elections Chairman.Those mail-in ballots also take longer to count.“There are two envelopes we have to open: the outside envelope and the secrecy envelope,” Harvie said. “So, it's really double the work.”Here in Bucks County alone, they sent out 200,000 mail-in ballots for this election. That’s 10 times the number they did in 2016. And in Bucks County, like everywhere else across Pennsylvania, ballots postmarked on Election Day can still be counted if they’re received through Friday. However, elections officials are preparing for the possibility of a legal challenge involving those ballots.“We do know that there's very likely to be a legal challenge to that claiming that that's not constitutional,” Harvie said. “So, we are going to start segregating any mail we get.”In the end, though, officials in Pennsylvania hope the 2020 election keeps voters confident in the election system.“The people you see here working, you know these are not political appointees,” Harvie said. “They’re county employees, they’re government employees, and so, really, they're they've committed themselves to giving people a fair, accurate, safe election.”It’s an election that doesn’t appear to be over just yet. 2411

The Kansas City Chiefs announced Thursday that an ongoing, multi-year conversation with groups of people from "diverse American Indian backgrounds and experiences" has resulted in several changes that will be implemented this season at Arrowhead Stadium.Under the Chiefs' new policy, fans will be prohibited from wearing headdresses, which the team previously only discouraged, and also will be barred from wearing face paintings that reference or “appropriate” American Indian cultures.Some fans said the changes couldn't have come soon enough."It’s been a long time coming to make some change there," Danny Sandage said. "I think change needs to occur."Most fans aren't surprised by the Chiefs' decision."I think we have to be more mindful about images that can be offensive to people," Summer Friedman said.Nor do they think it will detract from the Arrowhead experience."I know people are very rah-rah about the whole costume, the get-up and everything like that," Jean-Luc Monroe. "But to be honest with you, I'm just there to enjoy football. Beason hopes it will banned as well."It encourages this behavior on the part of the fan base to continually just disrespect us and not actually look at us like actual human beings," Beason said. The NCAA has announced Wednesday a series of major changes to college basketball in the hopes of eliminating corruption in the sport.The NCAA will now allow undergraduate students to participate in the NBA draft and return to school if they are not selected. Previously, players were allowed to attend the NBA combine but needed to withdraw 10 days prior to the draft in order to retain eligibility."Elite" high school prospects will now be permitted to be represented by an agent certified by the NCAA. According to CBS, USA Basketball will be tasked with choosing which prospects are considered "elite."The NCAA also announced major changes to the recruiting calendar, which the association hopes will allow recruits to attend more showcase events put on by high schools. Currently, apparel companies put on some of the most prestigious recruiting events.Finally, the NCAA will hold university presidents and chancellors personally accountable for their own athletics programs. The league declined to specify how the presidents and chancellors would be punished for the actions of their athletic departments.  1134

The mayor of Austin, Texas, has apologized after reports revealed that he delivered an address urging his constituents to stay home to prevent the spread of COVID-19 while he was vacationing in Mexico."I regret this travel," Austin Mayor Steve Adler, a Democrat, said in a statement, according to The Austin American-Statesman. "My fear is that this travel, even having happened during a safer period, could be used by some as justification for risky behavior. In hindsight, and even though it violated no order, it set a bad example for which I apologize."According to the American-Statesman and KVUE-TV in Austin, Adler took the trip after he hosted a small outdoor wedding ceremony for his daughter in early November. Both outlets report that there were about 20 guests at the wedding — more than the recommended guidelines of a limit of 10 per gathering that was in effect at the time.Following the ceremony, KVUE reports that Adler and eight family members boarded a private jet and traveled to Cabo San Lucas for a resort vacation. One day into that trip, on Nov. 9, Adler urged Austinites to stay at home."We need to stay home if you can," Adler said in that video, according to the American-Stateman. "This is not the time to relax. We are going to be looking really closely. ... We may have to close things down if we are not careful."Adler told the American-Statesman that he consulted with public health officials before hosting the wedding and that all 20 guests were required to undergo rapid COVID-19 tests before attending. He also said that masks were distributed during the reception guests "probably" did not wear them for the duration of the reception.KVUE adds that some of the guests traveled by plane to attend the wedding, including the Seattle-based wedding photographer.Adler isn't the only politician who has failed to heed his own warnings against travel.
