(KGTV) - A former model and actor this week accused Star Trek icon George Takei of sexually assaulting him.Scott R. Brunton claimed Takei took advantage of him in 1981 when Brunton, then 23, was going through a breakup, according to The Hollywood Reporter."This happened a long time ago, but I have never forgotten it," Brunton told The Hollywood Reporter. "It is one of those stories you tell with a group of people when people are recounting bizarre instances in their lives, this always comes up. (KGTV) — Firefighters in Riverside County are battling yet another fire as Santa Ana conditions sweep through Southern California.The Hill Fire ignited in the Jurupa Valley community just before 10 a.m., quickly growing from 15 acres to hundreds acres within hours, according to CAL Fire. (CNN) -- The homeless population in the US increased 2.7% this year largely because of a surge in unsheltered and chronically homeless individuals in California, the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) said in a news release Friday.The study found that 567,715 people across the nation experienced homelessness on a single night in 2019, an increase of 14,885 people compared with 2018. Meanwhile, homelessness among veterans and families with children declined in the year, dropping 2.1% and 4.8%, respectively.The number of people experiencing homelessness dropped in 29 states and Washington, DC in 2019, the news release said. (KGTV) — Attorney General William Barr has decided to self-quarantine out of caution after President Donald Trump and several other lawmakers and aides tested positive for the coronavirus this week.Barr has had four COVID-19 tests since Friday and all have been negative, according to Justice Department spokesperson Kerri Kupec.
