BEIJING, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Monday made a four-pronged proposal for the future development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), calling for fostering a secure and stable development environment, consolidating integrated development, leveraging the catalytic role of sci-tech innovation and pursuing people-centered cooperation.

Vice Premier Han Zheng, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, attended the meeting.

Both countries also agreed to support each other in hosting the Tokyo Olympic Games and the Beijing Winter Olympics and make these two major sports events a success.

The meeting of the leading Party members group of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee was presided over by Wang Yang, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the CPPCC National Committee. Wang delivered a speech at the conference.

Urging a close look at the experience gained in publishing the authoritative dictionary, Huang said the publishing industry should adapt to the new changes in readers' habits and cultural demands and create more quality books that appeal to readers.
