(KGTV) -- Wednesday morning, more than 110,000 signatures were turned in in an effort to put a housing project in North County in front of voters.The signatures were gathered by the “No on Newland Sierra” committee in 17 days. (KGTV) - A California Highway Patrol motorcycle officer was killed Friday in a crash involving a truck in the San Francisco suburb of Fairfield.He was identified as Solano-area officer Kirk Griess, KGO reported.Officer Griess was thrown from the motorcycle over a guardrail on Interstate 80 at North Texas St.Law enforcement officers gathered at Northbay Regional Medical Center in Fairfield to pay their respects to the officer. 455
