EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) -- The San Diego County Sheriff's Department is looking for a man who attempted to rob a Burger King, threatening employees with a gun, in El Cajon off of Old Highway 80. Deputies say the man ordered food and when the cashier told him the amount owed, he pulled out the gun and demanded money. The employees ran to the back and the suspect shot his gun at least once before running off, according to deputies.There were no customers inside the restaurant at the time of the shooting and none of the employees were hurt. The suspect was seen taking off westbound on Old Hwy 80 in a dark-colored pick-up truck. He's described as white or Hispanic, 5'8", and about 200 pounds. EL CAJON, Calif. (KGTV) -- Grossmont College and the office of Senator Joel Anderson came together for the eighth year in a row to honor the victims of September 11th. The day before the ceremony, volunteers put up 2,977 flags one for each life taken that September morning. San Diego native and 9/11 survivor, Bill Hay, was the keynote speaker for the memorial. Hay was on the 55th floor of the north tower when the first plane hit.Hay is 89-years-old and a Marine veteran with two purple hearts. He says he shares his story every year because he doesn't want younger generations to forget about what happened. The ceremony included other speakers from Grossmont College, CAL-FIRE and students from Steele Canyon High School. 755

(KGTV) - The San Diego Air & Space Museum will soon unveil the latest addition to its impressive collection, a rare plane that had long been owned by hotel mogul Barron Hilton.The plane is a Beech Aircraft "staggerwing" built in 1943. Museum President and CEO Jim Kidrick told 10News the plane is famous among aviation fans worldwide and that many famous pilots have flown inside. The stagger wing was considered one of the few high-end recreational and business planes of its time.Kidrick says the plane is just the latest exciting addition to be displayed at the Museum's popular Annex at Gillespie Field in El Cajon. "As a former Navy fighter pilot, there's nothing more exciting than being around aircraft, in general. It's cooler than cool.
