SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — San Diegans could be in store to begin receiving checks from the federal government in April, according to a proposal released Wednesday. The proposal, from Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, is part of a plan to stimulate the economy as the coronavirus outbreak continues to lead the nation toward a recession. The checks, which could be upwards of ,000 or more, could come in April and May. The money could help San Diego workers who are seeing their hours reduced or jobs eliminated get by while efforts continue to flatten the curve. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police are investigating what led to the death of a man while in police custody last week in Paradise Hills.Police said 39-year-old Guillermo Corrales was arrested on April 16 in the 6300 block of Clyde Ave. after reports of a relative becoming violent. Corrales had possibly used narcotics, according to police.Corrales was placed in handcuffs and medically evaluated by first responders.During the evaluation, Corrales went into cardiac arrest, according to police, and he was taken to a nearby hospital and placed on life support.He died from his injuries on Thursday.San Diego Police homicide detectives are investigating the incident as a possible custody death. 724

According to a letter sent to Governor Gavin Newsom, the resignation will be effective close of business day on January 13, 2020. “It has been an honor to serve the people of California’s 50th District, and I greatly appreciate the trust they have put in me over the last 11 years,” Hunter concludes in the letter to Governor Gavin Newsom.
