SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A man with San Diego ties who worked for the U.S. government is accused of drugging and sexually assaulting multiple women, according to federal court documents.An FBI spokesperson confirmed Brian Jeffrey Raymond was arrested in La Mesa earlier this month.The arrest was first reported by The Daily Beast.Team 10 learned his arrest on October 9th took place in the parking lot of a La Mesa gym. Currently, he faces one charge related to sexual assault, but prosecutors said he is under investigation for crimes against 21 other women.Raymond, who most recently worked for the U.S embassy in Mexico City, had worked for the government for 23 years."For years, he has exerted power and control over unconscious women, undressing them, sexually assaulting them, photographing them, and recording them without their knowledge or consent," prosecutors wrote in court documents. They called him an "experienced sexual predator."He is currently at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in downtown. In a hearing this week, he was ordered to be transferred to Washington D.C. The investigation showed in May 2020, police in Mexico City responded to Raymond's apartment to reports of a "naked, hysterical woman desperately screaming for help." The woman said she met Raymond on Tinder. Their date eventually led to his apartment, where they ate snacks and drank "from a wine glass [Raymond] provided in his residence," documents showed. The victim said she suddenly blacked out. A sexual assault examination showed several injuries.On Raymond's devices and iCloud, investigators said they found approximately 400 photos and videos, some dating back to 2011. They showed at least "21 different unconscious women." Some of the women were fully nude.Law enforcement said they found his internet searches included "passed out black girl," "deep sleep," and "Ambien and alcohol side effects."The alleged assaults took place from Mexico City to Virginia, according to prosecutors. Raymond's parents live in La Mesa. Documents showed he moved back to their home in June after he resigned from his job. In an interview with federal agents, his parents said "they feel like they do not know their son" and were surprised when he came to visit. Prosecutors said his behavior was escalating, even after his arrest. A week before he was arrested in La Mesa, they said Raymond met another women who could only remember small fragments of their sexual encounter.Raymond's attorney did not return Team 10's request for comment. 2531

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — A local woman is suing the Greyhound bus company after an unscheduled stop allowed border agents to come on the bus and question the citizenship of passengers. Rocio Cordova was traveling from San Diego to Phoenix in November 2017 when her bus was stopped.Her lawyer, Darren Robbins, tells 10News, “Well this practice was brought to our attention and our client was one of the people subjected to these warrantless searches conducted without probable cause.”RELATED: 'Minutemen' wants troops at border gaps near CampoHe continued to say these immigration raids have been happening on multiple different Greyhound buses. Cordova is accusing Greyhound of violating state consumer protection laws by allegedly consenting to racial profiling by law enforcement officers. Cordova is a United States citizen, however, watched people on the bus around her questioned based on their race, according to her lawyer, “it is highly invasive and inappropriate to facilitate such action of law enforcement officials against its own passengers”. The complaint was served to Greyhound on Friday.Robbins is now waiting for their response, “the best response would be they'll refrain from any additional illegal behavior and stop allowing this kind of warrantless searches to take place on greyhound facilities or Greyhound buses,” he tells 10News.  1388

Now, the movie is getting some major attention and even making its way to theatres around San Diego. Although Ruta Madre has had a successful turn around the film festival circuit, the theatrical release comes at a critical time in the political relationship between the U.S. and Mexico. It also confronts the issue many Latinos in America face: self- and social-identity."It reflects the feeling of many Latinos, especially Mexicans, who have emigrated or were born here, but who have not they feel neither from here nor from there,” director and screenwriter Agustín Casta?eda said in a 2016 interview.The film, called Ruta Madre, follows Daniel, a young American singer who leaves his home in Chula Vista to embark on a spiritual road trip after his first love Daisy breaks his heart. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A man was hospitalized after being shot as he sat in his car at a Southcrest park, San Diego police said.The incident happened just before 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 4100 block of Newton Avenue, according to police.The 26-year-old victim and a 19-year-old man were sitting in a BMW when two men walked up to the car. Police said the two men pounded on the car’s windows before they opened fire.The victim was shot in the left thigh and left wrist, police said. The 19-year-old was not hurt.The victim drove the bullet-riddled BMW away from the park and called 911 to report the shooting. Police made contact with the BMW on National Avenue and the victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.According to police, the suspected shooters are believed to have fled the park in a white pickup truck. Twelve shell casings were recovered at the scene, police added.Descriptions of the two suspected shooters were not immediately available. 984
