TAIPEI, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- The mainland's securities regulatory body announced Tuesday that it is considering to allow citizens of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao to invest directly in the mainland's stock market with the renminbi.
Currently, 400 Confucius Institutes and over 500 Confucius Classrooms are in operation globally, which received about 655,000 registered students in 108 countries and regions this year, according to figures from the organization's headquarters.
In addition, some telecommunication operators have actively cracked down on fake IP addresses and reduced attacks like TCP SYN FLOOD and UDP FLOOD from 70% in 2011 to 48%, effectively limiting the momentum of attacks.
"Governments in the relatively underdeveloped central and western regions are eager to catch up with their developed counterparts in eastern and coastal regions," Liu said.
It has also published the Roadmap for IL (Incandescent Lamps) Phase-out, and banned the import or sale of 100-watt-or-greater incandescent bulbs from Oct. 1, 2012.
