Father Joe's VillagesFather Joe's Villages is the largest rehabilitation program for the homeless in San Diego. Each year, more than 10,000 San Diegans donate their time. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Witness video shows the moment San Diego Police opened fire on a pursuit suspect in Logan Heights Monday.The video starts with the suspect, identified Tuesday as 30-year-old Enrique Aguilar, walking in the middle of the street, it appears toward the direction of police. Yells of "drop the gun" could be heard as Aguilar continues walking down the street.As Aguilar proceeds toward officers, police say he pointed a weapon at officers. A hail of gunfire rings out and Aguilar falls to the ground.RELATED: Foot pursuit ends in officer-involved shooting in Logan HeightsTwo officers then approach Aguilar and place him in under arrest.Aguilar was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.Two officers involved in the exchange of gunfire were not injured. 800

"The president gave congress six months to come up with a permanent fix for this DACA crisis, and it didn’t happen. So we want to make sure we’re in D.C. when March 5 comes.”“Absolutely, yes I’m nervous," Francisco Peralta said. "This is the first time actually being in D.C. ever and also it’s the first time that I’m going to be sitting in a room where, you know, with members of congress.”Ali Torabi will also be going. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Two people were found dead Sunday morning after authorities responded to multiple 911 calls of a capsized boat off the coast of Ocean Beach.Authorities received a call about the incident around 3:30 a.m. When they arrived, authorities found a 28-foot vessel overturned along the shore with two mean deceased nearby."About a 28 foot vessel overturned in the shore, on the sand," says SD Fire & Rescue Lt. Maureen Hodges. "We do have two victims that were down on the sand."The incident happened shortly after 3:30 Sunday morning. Customs and Border Protection officers told ABC 10News the boat capsized off the shore, throwing the two people into the water. There's still no word on if any other people were in the boat.Border Patrol also responded to the incident along with San Diego Police, lifeguards, and San Diego Fire-Rescue. CBP believes this is the latest incident to involve a human-smuggling effort gone horribly wrong.So far in the 2020 Fiscal Year, there have been 210 incidents involving these kind of "panga" boats off the coast of San Diego. The record was set in 2013, when CBP responded to 243 such incidents. With two months left in the fiscal year, 2020 is on pace to break the record.ABC 10News asked if the rise in panga boat incidents could be related to border closures because of the coronavirus, forcing would-be smugglers to turn to the water. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Wednesday, the White House announced that it has pardoned Margaret Hunter one day after granting a pardon to former Congressman Duncan Hunter over misuse of campaign funds.Margaret Hunter was sentenced to eight months of home confinement and three years probation after she pleaded guilty to a conspiracy charge.
