(KGTV) - The movie set ranch featured in the HBO television series “Westworld” and almost 500 other productions was destroyed in the Woolsey Fire, Santa Monica Mountains park rangers tweeted Friday.The piece of Hollywood history, known as “Western Town” at Paramount Ranch, was located in Agoura. With its rolling hills and canyons, it was used to create an Old West look for film and television shoots.Paramount Studios bought the 2,700 acre ranch in the golden era of Hollywood. Actress Amanda Kloots took issue with President Donald Trump's call to Americans to not let COVID-19 "dominate" their lives on Monday — four months to the day after her husband died of COVID-19.Kloots' husband, Nick Cordero, died on July 5 after a months-long battle with COVID-19. Cordero was first diagnosed with the virus on March 30, and his brutal fight with the virus included weeks spent in a coma and the amputation of his right leg.On Monday, despite the fact that his doctors said that he isn't "out of the woods," Trump left the hospital with the blessing of his physicians to return to the White House."Feeling really good! ALPINE, Calif. (KGTV) -- A man has died following a deputy-involved shooting in Alpine Monday afternoon.  The man's family later identified him as Daniel Ayala. According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, deputies shot Ayala at an apartment complex on the 2600 block of Alpine Boulevard around 3 p.m. during a confrontation.No deputies were injured, sheriff's officials said.According to Lt. Michael Blevins, dispatchers had received several 911 calls reporting a man yelling in the apartment complex. Blevins said at one point he made statements threatening to kill people. A witness told 10News, Ayala had pounded on his door, yelling incoherently.When deputies arrived they say they went up to Ayala's apartment."He exited the apartment with a knife in his hand and advanced towards the deputies," said Lt. Blevins.That's when the deputies opened fire. Blevins said more than one deputy fired a gun, though he said they were still investigating exactly who discharged their weapon and how many shots were fired. 1064

Actor Rick Moranis was punched in the head, knocking him to the ground, in an unprovoked attack on Manhattan's Upper West Side, officials said Friday.New York City police confirmed a 67-year-old man was walking south on Central Park West near West 70th Street when an unidentified man hit him in the head with a closed fist Thursday around 7:24 a.m.Surveillance images of a person suspected of the attack were released by police.
