CLARK COUNTY, Wis. -- A Wisconsin sheriff's office is looking for suspects after a dog's front legs were zip-tied together and was found weak and skinny by first responders.The Clark County Sheriff's Office, located in the northwestern part of the state near Eau Claire, says the dog was found next to a bridge in the township of Thorp last Monday. CITRUS COUNTY, Florida — A Florida social studies teacher has been "removed" from the classroom after being accused in a recent Huffington Post article of having a white nationalist podcast and secretly bringing her beliefs into the classroom. Dayanna Volitich has worked at Crystal River Middle School in Citrus County since 2016, but online she used the pseudonym Tiana Dalichov."I get to talk about topics that people don't like to talk about. They don't want to be seen as a bigot, racist, whatever you want to call it. I honestly don't care," said Volitich.That's a snippet from the podcast "Unapologetic" previewing the topics listeners can expect to hear. The Huffington Post article says the podcast is actually hosted by the 25-year-old Volitich. In one of her podcasts, she talks about putting on a "dog and pony show" for administrators during her first year, when it comes to teaching certain curriculum. "I told the kids that. I said, 'Guys, when they are in here, I’m going to be different than I usually am. I just don’t want you to be shocked. I want you to play along and they’re like, 'OK. OK,'" she said in the podcast.During that same podcast, Volitich brings up a science fair project from Sacramento that was taken down after she says people deemed it racist. She tells her guest she believes it scientifically proves certain races have higher IQs than others. When her guest asks if kids tell their parents what they learn in class, she says the principal approached her over an email from a parent once, but dropped it. "I had one at the beginning of this year who emailed the principal over my head and basically told her I’m worried that your teacher is injecting political bias into her teaching. And the principal came to me and she was like, 'I’m not worried, should I be worried?' And I was like, 'No.' She believed me and she backed off."Scripps stations WFTS stopped by Volitich's apartment to talk with her, but no one answered the door. A neighbor said he recognizes her by the photo showed to him, but said he rarely spoke with her.The Huffington Post took screen shots of things Volitich posted to Twitter in the past, talking about her fascination of the "Jewish Question" an anti-Semitic conspiracy theory. She also posted a picture of a book by Kevin MacDonald, saying "the JQ is incredibly complex" and that her mind is "already blown" while reading the book. WFTS searched for her account, but it's no longer active and could not find her on Facebook.WFTS found an article published two weeks ago on Halsey News titled, "Tiana Dalichov: White Privilege Challenge." The writer was promoting her new podcast and encouraging people to write-in arguments proving "one single instance of white privilege," arguing it doesn't exist, and if someone can prove it they will get 0.Posting as Tiana Dalichov on goodreads.com, Volitich writes that she has a BA in American History from The Ohio State University.On a YouTube Channel called "Right Millennial," Dalichov appears on video and looks substantially similar to Volitich’s official school photo. In the video, Volitich discusses her degree in “brain sciences,” using the same vernacular that was written on the goodreads.com page. She also discusses how she is an author that has written many books that sell on Amazon.com.A pinned comment from the Channel’s Creator posted over the weekend, tacitly confirms The Huffington Post article by denying that she outed Volitich, and by suggesting that she did it to herself by, “spout[ing] propaganda from self[-]admitted Holocaust deniers and then block[ing] Halsey, and I when we called her out on it." The video is now unavailable. On social media, people from around the country have asked the school district to fire her. A Facebook page has been created asking people to submit emails to school officials. WFTS called and left messages with several school board members, the middle school principal and employees at the district level but have not heard back. Now, some of these companies are getting creative with hiring during the pandemic."This is about actionality and giving everyone whatever ways that are necessary to them to be able to find work. Our teams have been trying to come up with creative ways to connect people and work," said Carl Schweihs, the president of PeopleManagement at TrueBlue, a national staffing company that helps businesses, big and small.Schweihs says their team decided to try out a drive-thru hiring event. TrueBlue is running the events through its Staff Management |SMX business."We did one of these in April in Pennsylvania, and we saw a lot of success, so we were able to hire about as many people in one day as we had done in a week in the past," said Schweihs.The company saw so much success that True Blue decided to offer the drive-thru service to other clients, as well."We saw a lot of people were interested in it. They weren’t used to necessarily video interviewing and there was a comfort factor in still being close to someone, still being able to ask questions, that just weren’t there on the video side," explained Schweihs.How it works is applicants fill out all of their information ahead of time online. Then, True Blue schedules certain times for people to drive up and interview through their car window. Schweihs says they're able to interview more candidates in less time."Another thing is, we do interviews on all of our jobs and I think it also shows, especially in warehousing and distribution jobs attendance is a big issue, so by people being able to show up to an interview at a scheduled time, it also gives comfort in us and our customers that they're going to show up and be in attendance when they actually do take the job," said Schweihs.Drive-thru hiring is gaining ground across the country. In California, the Tulare County Employment Connection is hosting its first drive-thru event to fill 40 electrical and solar installation positions."I'm a little bit old fashioned. I like the face-to-face, and I know a lot of people do. Just the safety matter of it right now during the pandemic, following safety guidelines, I think it's a very good idea to be able to drive through and make it quick, where there's not very much contact, but at the same time, you're having that face to face with employers," said Monica Andrade, a business resource specialist with Tulare County Employment Connection.Andrade says employers will also have an opportunity to have a more in-depth interview with some candidates by having the candidate pull over and conduct a socially distant interview outside in a separate area. Consumers are going to have to wait a little longer to shop the Toys "R" Us liquidation sales.The company had said it expected the sales to start Thursday. But there's been a delay, a company spokesperson told CNNMoney Thursday morning. It now expects sales to likely start Friday.The iconic toy giant announced last week that it will shut or sell all of its 735 US stores.Shoppers looking to snag a bargain should act fast when the sales start."It will be quick," said Chuck Tatelbaum, a director with Tripp Scott, a Florida law firm, on how quickly the shelves will empty. "No more than 60 days, closer to 30 days."The more popular and favorite toys tend to move the fastest, and inventory is likely already slim."The [stores] haven't gotten a lot of new inventory in the last month or two, so a lot of the popular things have probably already sold out," said Tatelbaum.Consumers with Toys "R" Us gift cards and Endless Earnings e-gift cards should also hurry. The retailer will honor these forms of payment until April 20. Stores will no longer accept coupons or other rewards.Stores will accept returns on products purchased before the liquidation for the next 30 days. All purchases made after liquidation sales begin are final, which means they cannot be returned or exchanged.Consumers planning on going to the store for one last walk up and down the aisles to reminisce could face a different reality."People will go for one last time, but I am not sure it will translate into buying," said Tatelbaum. COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- "Tonight, it feels like our tears will never stop and the lump in our throats is (too) big to breathe through," Todd Allen wrote Thursday evening.His son, 2-year-old Brody, became the center of a community-wide September Christmas celebration in their small community just outside of Cincinnati after the Allen family revealed the toddler likely would not survive until Dec. 25. According to Allen, doctors now predict he may not survive until Halloween."There is no easy way to say this but Brody's body is failing him," Allen wrote in the Team Brody Facebook group. "We have been told that Brody may have only days left with us. Our hearts are absolutely broken."Brody was born with a rare brain cancer, the symptoms of which did not emerge until he had developed four serious tumors. After 98 days of treatment, there were five, and doctors at Cincinnati Children's Hospital said they could no longer help. At that time, they predicted he would live no longer than Oct. 5.The family took Brody home and redecorated their house for Christmas, hoping to at least make his last months happy and comfortable. Todd Allen took time off from his job as an over-the-road trucker. When neighbors learned about the out-of-season celebration, they decorated their own homes, sent cards to the family and even held a Christmas parade Sept. 23.Memories of that kindness have helped the family cope with Thursday's news, Allen wrote. As they have in the past, they plan to "trust that God has a plan," keep Brody comfortable and remain grateful for the support of everyone who joins them on their journey."Brody is here," Allen wrote.
