Police in North Las Vegas is asking for help from the public to find possible victims of an accused sexual predator who was arrested this week.On Aug. 19, officers arrested Jesse Lee Santos, who is accused of sexual assault, lewdness with a minor, sexual conduct between school employee and pupil, child abuse, and intentional transmission of HIV.Police say Santos is a well-known dancer and owner of JLS Entertainment, Inc., which operates around the valley.He has worked with several well-known artists including Britney Spears, Mandy Moore, Pink, Madonna, and Jessica Simpson, and has performed on multiple awards shows.Santos has traveled for dance competitions in numerous states, including Kentucky, Florida, Maryland, Georgia, and California, and authorities believe there may be victims from those states that have not come forward.Witnesses or victims can call the NLVPD Detective Bureau at 702-633-1773 or email Detective Jorge Correa at correaj@cityofnorthlasvegas.com.This story was first reported by KTNV in Las Vegas, Nevada. 1047

People across the U.S. are honoring loved ones who have passed from COVID-19 as part of a National Week of Mourning.Kristin Urquiza’s father, Mark, passed away from COVID-19 on June 30 in Arizona. She said in his obituary that "his death is due to the carelessness of the politicians who continue to jeopardize the health of brown bodies."Urquiza says her dad was one of her best friends and very generous guy. She’s speaking our with hopes of saving other people of color from the disease.“Seeing those disparities play out in my hometown, in my home neighborhood, and then having my dad go through this awful fight for his life and not be able to make it, I knew that I needed to speak my truth,” said Urquiza.Fiana Tulip's mother, Isabelle, was a respiratory therapist for 30 years. She was a year from retirement. Tulip says her mom continued to go into work even though she didn't have enough personal protective equipment and knew she was putting her life at risk. She passed away from COVID-19 on July 4 in Texas.Tulip says her mom was a “giant in her kindness,” as well as loving, giving, strong and resilient.“My mom was so brave, and I want her to be remembered as somebody who was thoughtful and who was generous and who was a hero, somebody who gave her life to save others,” said Tulip.She says in her mom's obituary "her undeserving death is due to the carelessness of politicians who undervalue health care workers."Mark and Isabelle are just two of the more than 210,000 lives lost to COVID-19 in the U.S.Tulip says if the country keeps ignoring the fact that people are dying, we’re going to have pretty traumatic effects later on.“So, it's important to feel and to share the warmth and to spread the love right now,” she said.“We are putting a stake in the ground to say we need to recognize, and recognition begins with collective mourning. OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — A United States Postal Service worker discovered a massive snake Friday while delivering the mail in Overland Park, Kansas.It's unclear when the red tail boa constrictor slithered onto the home in the Pinehurst neighborhood."The biggest snake I've ever seen! Police say that a Massachusetts home owned by Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Tom Brady and his wife, model Gisele Bündchen, was broken into early Monday morning.According to the Brookline Massachusetts Police Department, police were notified when a home security alarm was triggered at Brady's home just before 6 a.m. Monday.Using security cameras in the house, police were able to see that the suspect had moved to the basement. "Multiple" units responded, and when they arrived, they found the suspect lying on a couch in the middle of the room.Police arrested the suspect, 34-year-old Zanini Cineus, formerly of Brockton, Massachusetts. He's with breaking and entering, attempted larceny and trespassing. Police say he was also wanted for "several active warrants" in other parts of the state.Police did not report that anything was stolen from Brady's home.Brady played quarterback for the New England Patriots — who play their home games about an hour south of Brookline in Foxboro — from 2000 to 2019. Earlier this year, Brady signed a two-year contract with the Buccaneers and has been living in the Tampa area for several months.The break-in came just days after reports emerged that Brady's health and wellness company, TB12, had been granted a million PPP loan earlier this year amid the COVID-19 pandemic. 1320

PITKIN COUNTY, Colo. — A bear attack inside a home left one person with "severe swipe injuries" early Friday in the Aspen, Colorado, area.Randy Hampston, public information officer for the northwest region of Colorado Parks and Wildlife, said a call about the attack came in at 1:28 a.m.Hampston said the house, which is located in the Clear Creek neighborhood outside Aspen, has a lever door handle on its front door. He said some newer homes have this feature to be ADA compliant, but it makes entry much easier for bears."You’re talking about a 400-pound animal — they can push down with enough force to sometimes pop those locks," he said.The homeowner heard noises in the living room and went to check on it, Hampston said. Then, he saw the large bear.The bear swiped at the him, leaving him with severe lacerations to his head, neck and face.The bear then ran out of the home, Hampston said. Other family members in the house called 911.The injured homeowner was transported to a hospital with severe injuries to his face and neck, according to CPW. He is undergoing surgery, but is stable and his injuries are not life-threatening.Hampston said CPW has been receiving reports of a bear in the area and believes this was the same one. He said he also believes it's the same bear that has been reportedly getting into trash in the area over the past few years. Past attempts to haze or trap it to relocate it elsewhere have been unsuccessful.Wildlife officers are working in the area. A search for the bear is underway with the help of tracking dogs.Because DNA evidence was collected in the home, wildlife officers will be able to test the DNA of a suspected bear to ensure it's the same one.Once they find the bear, it will be euthanized due to its history of run-ins with humans and this attack, Hampston said.He said while it's not rare to see a bear around Aspen, it is uncommon for one to get inside a home.This marks the first bear attack in Aspen this year.Three people reported a bear attack in Aspen last summer, he said.
