(KGTV) - A 72-year-old man died Friday night after being struck by a semi-truck trailer. San Diego police say the man had pulled off the 905 freeway at La Media Dr. to fix a broken spark plug on his 1980 Honda motorcycle. He was working on the bike when the big rig exited the 905 onto La Media heading east. The driver missed the motorcyclist with the cab but clipped him with the back tires of the trailer, dragging the body for several feet according to investigators. The man was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the semi-truck stopped at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. Papa John's is breaking up with the NFL.The pizza chain, which last year blamed slumping sales on the NFL's handling of player protests, is ending its sponsorship of the league."While the NFL remains an important channel for us, we have determined that there are better ways to reach and activate this audience," CEO Steve Ritchie said a conference call to discuss the company's quarterly earnings.Papa John's has been a league sponsor since 2010. It will keep its partnerships with 22 of the individual teams.Last fall, then-CEO John Schnatter received heavy criticism after he said Papa John's sales were hurt by the NFL's handling of protests by players who knelt during the National Anthem."This should have been nipped in the bud a year and a half ago," Schnatter told investors at the time. (WTMJ) -- A Wisconsin woman has been charged with second degree recklessly endangering safety after she allegedly had her 9-year-old son ride on top of her minivan to hold down a plastic pool.According to the criminal complaint, it happened around 3 p.m. local time on Sept. 9, when officers responded to reports of a child riding on top of a minivan.A 911 caller followed Amber Schmunk, 28, of Fredonia, until she pulled over and took her child and the pool off the vehicle's roof. Schmunk then continued driving down the road and stopped at her sister’s house where police caught up with her.Schmunk told police picked up the pool at a residence but did not have enough room inside the minivan. She said she “decided to put the pool on top of the minivan, but had no way to strap it down, so she had her child climb on the roof and hold it down while she drove.”Schmunk admitted to police she had her oldest son ride on top of the minivan, “but only for a short time, maybe 20-30 seconds.” Schmunk later stated it was safe because she used a strap to tie the child down on top of the pool.She also told the officer that she believed it was “ok” as her father let her do things like that when she was that age.Schmunk will be back in court on Nov. 14. Planned Parenthood is facing a social media backlash after one of its branches tweeted and then deleted a post suggesting Disney create a princess who'd had an abortion.Planned Parenthood Keystone, which operates in 37 Pennsylvania counties, tweeted on Tuesday that "We need a Disney Princess who's had an abortion. We need a Disney Princess who's pro-choice. We need a Disney princess who's an undocumented immigrant. We need a Disney Princess who's actually a union worker. We need a Disney Princess who's trans."The tweet plays off of a popular internet meme calling for more diverse Disney princesses.It didn't go over well."So glad #PlannedParenthood deleted their disgusting tweet, I don't really think having a Disney princess getting an abortion is appropriate for young girls..." said one woman Wednesday on Twitter.
