LONDON — A woman was killed and at least four other people were injured when a 65-foot crane collapsed in east London, authorities say.The London Fire Brigade says the crane fell onto a block of apartments under development and two houses on Wednesday. A man was stranded in the Los Angeles River at Atwater Village as a storm moved through, creating rapids in the normally driver riverbed. The firefighter who first made it to the man in a boat had to turn back due to the difficult position. A rescue swimmer joined the boat pilot and saved the man. The man was evaluated by paramedics.
