TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) — A FedEx executive says a higher-than-normal volume of Christmas-season package deliveries won’t interfere with the company’s effort to ship coronavirus vaccine doses.Jenny Robertson, a FedEx senior vice president, said two trucks on Sunday moved doses of a vaccine developed by Moderna and the National Institutes of Health from a factory in Olive Branch, Mississippi, to the company’s world hub in nearby Memphis, Tennessee, so that shipments could be loaded onto its airplanes bound for multiple states. She said the company is keeping its networks for shipping the vaccine and handling Christmas packages separate.“Nothing’s more important than the delivery of the vaccine to us, but we have put in place distinct networks that are keeping e-commerce moving through our ground network and vaccines moving through our express network,” she said. “We’re able to manage this volume right now.”Robertson said the company has seen holiday-level volumes for shipping packages since March because consumers switched how they buy products during the pandemic. 1081

Therapists are volunteering their time to help health care workers during the coronavirus pandemic.A nonprofit called The Emotional PPE Project is connecting medical workers in need with licensed mental health professionals. They can contact each other directly.“We think that's actually very important, because there are so many barriers to people receiving help, one of them being concerns about licensing implications or concerns about stigma,” said Dr. Daniel Saddawi-Konefka, Board Director and Co-Founder of The Emotional PPE Project.Saddawi-Konefka says it started with a simple text from his neuroscientist neighbor in March, saying “what can I do to help?”Together, the two of them created the online directory for volunteer therapists. While others were talking about ventilator and PPE shortages, Saddawi-Konefka realized resilience would be a crucial problem.“Health care workers, they experience higher levels of burnout, higher levels of depression, and despite that are less good at asking for helping, are less good at reaching out for help,” said Saddawi-Konefka.The group hopes to keep the program alive through the pandemic. They're hoping to work with the volunteer therapists for future plans. 1221

This little girl from New Jersey just won Halloween.Julia Talbot, 9, has always enjoyed dressing up, and each Halloween her mom picks a female role model for her to embrace. This year is no different.2018 has been declared the year of women in politics, so it comes to no surprise that Julia dressed up as none other than US Supreme Court Justice?Ruth Bader Ginsburg.Being the?"Notorious RBG"?for Halloween is a statement on its own, but it's not why Julia has won the hearts of thousands with her costume. Her spot-on RBG ensemble includes a base -- her wheelchair -- decorated to look like the judge's bench.Julia was born with?Microcephaly, a rare condition that affects the size of a child's head, which prevents the brain from reaching its normal size and causes mild to severe learning disabilities. She is "substantially and profoundly disabled. She can't walk, talk or eat," Julia's mom, Lisa Talbot, told CNN.But this disability is not stopping Julia from living her best life. She loves the fact that her wheelchair can make her costumes that much more epic, and people just go gaga over her, her mom says."She loves attention. She loves life! She giggles all the time," Talbot said, and added that Julia loves that people on Halloween actually come up to her and engage with her, talk to her, and pay attention to her.And attention is what Julia got when her mom shared the photo on Twitter?of the little but mighty RBG impersonator. With a simple caption -- "My daughter's wheelchair made the PERFECT foundation for her Halloween costume" -- Julia's photo gained over 26,000 likes and nearly 6,000 retweets. Her parents always want to create costumes that send a positive message, whether it's subtle or not. They begin brainstorming ideas months in advance, and it takes them about 3-4 weeks to actually build the costumes."Anything that makes her excited is something we feel a responsibility and a mission to deliver for her. Because she has a hard life," Talbot said. "She is the joy of our life. You can't help but see the world through her eyes. She shows you what matters."For more of Julia's story, watch "Anderson Cooper Full Circle" on Facebook Watch tonight at 6:25 p.m. ET. 2206

Tom Steyer is spending another million to put a second anti-Donald-Trump advertisement on national television -- this time taking aim at the President's tax overhaul push. The ad comes less than a month after the Democratic mega-donor and billionaire environmentalist spent million on a one-minute ad calling for Trump's impeachment. The second installment of Steyer's anti-Trump ad campaign begins Thursday with a spot filmed on Steyer's ranch in Pescadero, California. 484

There is no price on peace of mind when it comes to protecting your home. But there are a few things you can do to make your property safer for less than .One of the best ways is to put a deadbolt on a side door. Locksmith Jim Lang says that's one fo the first parts of a home burglars try to break into."They don't want to go through the front door and have everyone in the neighborhood see them," he said. Lang said thieves can use a credit card to pry open a door with a basic lock, but a deadbolt costs . He also spends an extra for three-inch nails to make the door stronger, so burglars can't kick it down. Lang also suggested pins to lock sliding glass doors, and a window lock to keep burglars from opening vented windows.La Mesa Police Sgt. Katy Lynch said it's also important to keep the area your front door visible. A peep-hole to see out the door should cost about . The La Mesa police has a free crime prevention program, in which officers will walkthrough homes?giving advice on how to better protect them.  Chula Vista PD does not, but a spokesman says officers attend neighborhood watch and community meetings. 10News has reached out to San Diego Police and the Sheriffs' Department. We will update this story when we hear back.  1310
