Data from market research firm International Data Corporation forecast the shipment of smart TVs in China will soar to 49.38 million units in 2023, having reached 10.84 million units in the first quarter of this year.
David Limp, senior vice-president of Amazon Devices, said China has become the largest market in the world for Kindle and enjoys double-digit growth annually, adding that Chinese readers are not just satisfied with reading on mobile phones, and they want to have an immersed reading experience through various Kindle e-reader devices.

Danny Mu, an analyst at market research company Forrester, said ARM-based chips are for special businesses, which can serve as a good complement to Huawei's computing scenarios. "More efforts are needed to cultivate ARM-based ecosystem, including softwares and applications," Mu added.
Daimler executives have also seen the problems encountered by rival Audi in China, which sought to establish a relationship with SAIC, but alienated its existing dealers who were dependent on Audi's Chinese partner FAW, leading to lost sales.
