There is no question the coronavirus pandemic is changing how Americans shop, with an increase in delivery, drive thru and curbside pick-up.Later this year, fans of Wawa will be able to get their favorite convenience store items in a drive thru. The east coast-based company announced they are building a freestanding drive-thru at an intersection in Lower Bucks County Pennsylvania. They are also adding drive-thru features to a Wawa under construction in Westhampton, New Jersey.In a press release, Wawa says the standalone store, not attached to a gas station, will feature “state-of-the-art technology to quickly order Wawa’s most popular food and beverages, including value meals, combo meals along with coffee and specialty beverages.” If the drive-thru line gets too long, customers will be able to pull into curbside parking and wait for their order.Construction will start this month, with an opening planned for December.“We are hoping to learn from the layout, workflow and traffic flow at this location, as we continue to explore alternatives for longer term application to our stores post-COVID-19,” said Terri Micklin, Director of Construction, Wawa. 1172

Tinder is soaring thanks to its new premium membership plan: Tinder Gold.Match Group, which owns 45 dating platforms including Tinder, OkCupid and Match.com, reported on Tuesday that Tinder Gold subscriptions boosted sales 19% from a year ago.Tinder added a record 476,000 paying members last quarter. As many of us look ahead to 2021, it’s probably with a mix of hopefulness and optimism.The Pantone Color Institute, the color authority in the design industry, has revealed that the Color of the Year for 2021 is actually two colors, Ultimate Gray and Illuminating Yellow.“The selection of two independent colors highlight how different elements come together to express a message of strength and hopefulness that is both enduring and uplifting, conveying the idea that it’s not about one color or one person, it’s about more than one,” said Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, in a press release.“Practical and rock solid but at the same time warming and optimistic, this is a color combination that gives us resilience and hope. We need to feel encouraged and uplifted, this is essential to the human spirit,” Eiseman added.This is the first time a shade of gray has been selected. Next year will be the second time two colors will share the spotlight, the first time was in 2016.Pantone has been selecting a Color of the Year for the last 22 years.
