I looked in my rear view mirror and it was just a dust cloud," Walaschek told CNN. "Had we walked out of that gym 15 seconds later, I would've been getting my kids in the car when it went off. I probably wouldn't be here, my kids wouldn't be here."A search of the blast zone has been completed, police said. There were no fatalities and all the victims have been located, Plantation Fire Deputy Chief Joel Gordon told reporters during a Saturday afternoon press conference.All the injured were taken to area hospitals, he said. Among the injured was a child, but the injuries were not classified as serious, Gordon said."We're relieved that considering the debris field and considering how we found the patients and where we found them, the injuries are not as severe as we would've thought they would be. Leavenworth Police Chief Pat Kitchens says an active-duty solider at Fort Leavenworth helped stop an active shooter Wednesday on the Centennial Bridge over the Missouri River.In a news conference, Kitchens said the incident started on the Kansas side of the bridge.That's when a 34-year-old soldier from nearby Ft. Leavenworth stepped in and "saved the day" by striking the suspect with his vehicle, according to Kitchens."He saved countless people," Kitchens said.Kitchens said the suspect, described as a Platte County, Missouri man, was armed with at least a handgun and a semi-automatic rifle and was firing seemingly at random at cars on the bridge after getting out of his car.The suspect was injured in the crash with the soldier and was taken to an area hospital with non life-threatening injuries.Another active-duty solider from Fort Leavenworth, was struck by the suspect's fire.That soldier's injuries were also not life-threatening.The soldier that stopped the shooter was not injured.Initially, police responded to the bridge around 11 a.m. on a possible road rage incident.The shooting incident was contained to the bridge and all parties have been detained.The Missouri Department of Transportation said the Centennial Bridge, which connects Leavenworth with Platte City, Missouri, has been closed for the investigation. 1348
