The annual New York Toy Fair showed off some fo the newest and most innovative toys from big name brands like Lego, Mattel, and Hasbro.Although, some of them may give parents second thoughts on purchasing that new toy. One of the newest - and grossest - toys is the Poo-Dough. You know, it's practically Play-Dough and it looks like something you'd normally flush down the toilet, but luckily it comes without the smell.It allows you to shape the perfect stool with two different shades of brown dough. Another highlight of the toy fair is the Pop-A-Zit. It's for those that love to pop those pesky blemishes, but this time it comes without the pain. If that's too disturbing or not your cup of tea, there's the Toilet Paper Blaster. The gadget allows you to shoot toilet paper spit-wads out of something that resembles a Super Soaker. This year, more than 1,000 exhibitors flocked to New York City to show their toys and attempt to lure in distributors.In 2017, kids went crazy for Fingerlings, FurReal Pets and L.O.L. The Bakersfield Police Department booked an Inglewood man Sunday night for murder and sexual assault charges in the case of a missing 13-year-old girl from Bakersfield.Further investigation led police to detain 24-year-old Armando Cruz of Inglewood, California for his involvement in the disappearance of Patricia Alatorre, who went missing July 1 at 11:30 p.m.The 13-year-old girl went missing in the area of Hosking Ave. and Wible Road, and according to police, Cruz is the owner of a white, older model pick-up last seen leaving the area at the same time and location Alatorre was last seen.BPD Detectives located and seized the vehicle and detained Cruz for further questioning in his involvement in Alatorre's disappearance.Cruz, was then arrested, just hours after being detained.Cruz faces 18 felonies and one misdemeanor. The charges include first-degree murder and sexual assault. This is a developing story. We will continue to update it as we learn more details. 981

STORY - One of the two girls who was molested by a La Jolla realtor faced the child predator at his sentencing Friday. Donald Hickey received a 25-years-to-life term as part of his plea deal in five felonies. In July, Hickey admitted to lewd and lascivious acts with a child and possession of child pornography. Prosecutors said the molestations occurred between 2009 and 2012. Hickey was caught thanks to a cyber tip submitted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Hickey apologized to his victims in court in August, saying “I’m sorry for everything that's happened. I take responsibility for it and I hope they do heal from it.'' ``No teenager should be in a situation where they sit down and think about what they're going to say to a pedophile,'' one of the girls said after Hickey pleaded guilty. ``No parent should have to decide whether or not to tell their child that they have been assaulted.
