Workers with the state Agriculture Department had spent weeks searching, trapping and using dental floss to tie tracking devices to Asian giant hornets, which can deliver painful stings to people and spit venom but are the biggest threat to honeybees that farmers depend on to pollinate crops. Crews wearing thick protective suits vacuumed the invasive insects from the cavity of a tree into large canisters Saturday. BRANDON, Fla. -- A Florida woman says someone threw some type of acid on the side of her 2002 Ford Explorer that was parked outside a Kmart in Brandon. Glenda Banfield said she was in the store for about an hour when she came out to find the paint on her car bubbling. "My paint was down to the metal," she said, "I rubbed my hand down over it and it just came off in flakes."Banfield was parked in a disabled parking space in the front row towards the entrance of the store. Police Department was pulled over for speeding, he decided to return the gesture by pulling over the same officer who had just let him off with a warning.The entire exchange was caught on dash and body camera video and was released to the media after 13 months of asking for the records.According to the video, Major Michael Johnson was pulled over by Officer Mark Sohn for allegedly driving 97 mph in a 65 mph zone in Interstate 95, while off-duty in September 2017.
