A drug used to euthanize animals has been found in canned dog food, prompting a recall.Low levels of the drug pentobarbital were detected in cans of Gravy Train dog food produced by the J.M. Smucker Company, the FDA said in a statement Friday. Pentobarbital is most commonly used as a sedative, anesthetic or to euthanize animals, it said."Pets that eat pet food containing pentobarbital can experience drowsiness, dizziness, excitement, loss of balance, nausea, nystagmus (eyes moving back and forth in a jerky manner) and inability to stand. A lawsuit has been filed against the County of San Diego and the former Assistant Sheriff for sexual harassment and retaliation.The employee began working for the Sheriff’s Department in 2010 at the Vista Detention Facility, according to the lawsuit.Team 10 is not naming her because she said she is a victim of sexual harassment. The female employee claimed that Miller made “inappropriate sexual innuendo” to her, including tickling her hand.She stated in her lawsuit that she confided in two Commanders about Miller’s behavior, but did not raise a formal complaint because she feared retaliation.She applied for a new job within the department with Law Enforcement Services Bureau Administrative Secretary II “in order to avoid Defendant Miller and his continued harassment.”She was not granted the transfer. She alleged “Miller demoted her in retaliation for her rejection of his sexual advances and efforts to avoid further harassment by him.”Team 10 contacted the Sheriff’s Department late Monday. A spokesperson said Miller is no longer with the department, since he retired.She added they cannot comment on pending lawsuits. A decline in Chevrolet Cruze sales is what General Motors officials say is to blame for an employee reduction at the Lordstown, Ohio plant. Up to 1,500 workers could be affected by layoffs this summer.According to WKBN-TV, the plant will move to a one-shift schedule on June 18. Between 1,000 to 1,500 workers will remain on the shift. GM said sales are to blame for the change, WKBN-TV reports, and is offering affected employees a ,000 payout.Sen. Sherrod Brown called on GM to use tax cuts the company received to keep jobs in Ohio.“GM cannot pocket billions of dollars in tax cuts and turn around and fire Ohio workers whose livelihoods depend on these jobs,” Brown said. “I expect GM to tell Ohioans immediately how they plan to use their tax windfall to keep Ohioans in their jobs.”The Lordstown GM plant is the largest employer in Trumbull County. 910

A faulty engine part that could cause vehicles to stall has led to a recall of 400,000 worldwide.The recall affects Toyota Motor Corp. and Subaru Corp., MarketWatch reports. About 80,000 of the 400,000 are Toyotas.Subaru is recalling some of its most popular models, such as the Forester sport-utility vehicle and Impreza and BRZ sports car. Toyota is recalling the Subaru-made 86 and Scion FR-S sports car, MarketWatch said.The automakers announced springs in the engine valve could fracture. That would cause the vehicles to stall and possibly lead to an accident.Earlier in October, Toyota recalled approximately 2.4 million vehicles worldwide due to a problem in which the cars may not enter a fail-safe driving mode as intended, which can cause the vehicle to lose power and stall. About 807,000 of those vehicles are in the United States. If this happens while driving at higher speeds, it could cause a crash. The recall affects 2010-2014 model year Toyota Prius and 2012-2014 Prius v vehicles.There was a second recall involving certain 2018-2019 Tundra and Sequoia vehicles and 2019 Avalon vehicles. A Canton, Ohio high school teacher has been indicted on multiple felony counts for allegedly engaging in sexual activity with students.Tiffany Eichler, 36, was charged with three counts of sexual battery, all third-degree felonies.Eichler is accused of having sex with three different students who attended McKinley High School in Canton while she was employed as a physical education teacher.Canton police interviewed Eichler on March 8 after they were notified by the director of school security. Eichler told police she was being blackmailed for money by students after having had sex with them, according to a police report.During the interview, Eichler told authorities she picked a student up near his house and the two engaged in sexual activity in her car. According to the report, Eichler went to the student's house later the same day and the two engaged in sexual activity in the basement. The report states that following the encounters, the student reached out to the teacher and asked for money to buy antibiotics.The student also told Eichler that his sister found out about their relationship and he needed money to keep her quiet, according to the police report. Police reports say Eichler allegedly had sexual contact with another student one day after school when she called him into her office before practice. Eichler allegedly engaged in sexual activity with a third student in the backseat of her car at an unknown park.Following the investigation, the school district released the following statement: 1578
