(KGTV) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized more than million worth of narcotics in a single vehicle stop this week.CBP says officers stopped a 55-year-old driver at about 4 a.m. at the Calexico Port of Entry and referred the driver to a secondary inspection, where an x-ray imaging system identified anomalies in the vehicle.A search of the vehicle turned up 20 packages of fentanyl weighing 48 pounds, and 121 packages of methamphetamine weighing 517 pounds hidden in the floor, gas tank, seats, and spare tire.The driver was arrested and turned over to Homeland Security officials. 628

(KGTV) — Authorities have identified the woman found stabbed to death on a North County trail.San Diego County Medical Examiner identified the woman as 68-year-old Lisa Thorborg of Carlsbad. Thorborg was found fatally stabbed on the Hosp Grove trail on Monday, Carlsbad Police say.Police believe the stabbing occurred between about 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., before her body was found by a passerby who called police around 11:30 a.m.RELATED: Carlsbad police: Woman found dead on hiking trail was stabbed to deathA tipster led investigators to identify a suspect as white or Hispanic, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 3 inches tall, with a husky build and a tan complexion with dark hair. CHICAGO (AP) -- A federal judge has ruled Attorney General Jeff Sessions cannot follow through with his threat to withhold public safety grant money to Chicago and other so-called sanctuary cities for refusing his order to impose tough immigration policies.U.S. District Judge Harry Leinenweber on Friday granted Chicago's request for a temporary "nationwide" injunction. That means the Justice Department can't deny requests for the grant money until Chicago's lawsuit against the agency is concluded.  He wrote that Chicago has shown a "likelihood of success" in its arguments that Sessions overstepped his authority with the requirements.Chicago refused to comply with the Justice Department's demand that it allow immigration agents access to local jails and notify agents when someone in the United States illegally is about to be released from custody.  877

Carnival Glory had an allision with Carnival Legend this morning in Cozumel. Carnival Glory was in the process of docking when it made contact with Carnival Legend which was already docked.We are assessing the damage but there are no issues that impact the seaworthiness of either ship. We have advised guests from both ships to enjoy their day ashore in Cozumel.Since our initial assessment, six guests with minor injuries have presented themselves to the Carnival Glory medical center for evaluation. 510
