BEIJING, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- China will support Peru in hosting the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Tuesday.
Leaders of the five countries discussed BRICS cooperation and other issues of common concern at the Oct. 15-16 summit, themed with "Building Responsive, Inclusive and Collective Solutions."
The premier said the central government will fully support the law-based governance by the chief executive and the SAR administration, and backs Macao's participation in national development strategies such as the Belt and Road Initiative.
"Together we must build a clean and righteous political environment, and ensure that the Party unites and leads the people to open up new prospects for socialism with Chinese characteristics," said a communique issued after the meeting.
Looking into the future, China has fully started its efforts to implement the 2030 Agenda, and has approved and released the national plan for carrying it out, he added.
