(WXYZ) — Nearly 100,000 children tested positive for COVID-19 in the last two weeks of July, according to a new report from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children’s Hospital Association.According to the report, 97,078 kids tested positive for coronavirus between July 16 and July 30, which is nearly 1/3 of the total confirmed cases of children in the U.S. since the beginning of the pandemic.The report found that around 338,000 children tested positive for coronavirus since the pandemic began. Over the last two weeks of July, the number of positive tests increased 40%.According to the report, the academy looked at state numbers that were considered children. The age ranges vary by state, and in Michigan, it includes anyone 19 and younger, but the state recently started reporting age groups 0-9 and 10-19. (KGTV) - The man suspected of killing rapper and anti-gang activist Nipsey Hussle was arrested in the Los Angeles area Tuesday, Los Angeles Police confirmed on twitter.Los Angeles Police identified Monday 29-year-old Eric Holder as the man wanted for gunning down Hussle in front of his South Los Angeles clothing store Sunday afternoon. Holder was seen leaving the area in a Chevy Cruze driven by a woman who is also wanted by police, Moore said. (KGTV) — The child in all of us may be compelled to bust out the stationary and send an actual letter this year.The United States Postal Service introduced three new sets of stamps for 2019, featuring characters from Sesame Street, the Tyrannosaurus rex, and "spooky silhouettes" for the fall season.The Sesame Street stamps, designed by Derry Noyes, will feature 16 Muppets characters: Big Bird, Ernie, Bert, Cookie Monster, Rosita, The Count, Oscar the Grouch, Abby Cadabby, Herry Monster, Julia, Guy Smiley, Snuffleupagus, Elmo, Telly, Grover and Zoe. "The Postal Service honors Sesame Street as one of the most influential and beloved children’s television shows. For the last 50 years, it has provided educational programming and entertainment for generations of children throughout the country and around the world," the service said.T. rex stamps were designed with original artwork by scientist Julius T. Csotonyi. A 14-year-old from Port Huron, Michigan has been arrested in connection to a threatening comment made on the Instagram account of New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman.According to a New York Times article, Edelman received a comment on an Instagram post late last month saying: "I'm going to shoot my school up watch the news."The New York Times reports that Edelman's assistant called 911 and police determined the sender's email and IP address was traced to Port Huron.The teen was brought in for questioning and admitted to making the threat. He was arrested and charged with making a false report of a threat of terrorism, a four-year felony in Michigan. Police say a search of his home turned up two rifles that belonged to the teen's mother. Port Huron detectives credited Edelman with bringing the threat forward.  857
