SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Santa Ana winds and low humidity will bring fire danger to San Diego County this week.Relative humidity is down to 10% to 15% in the county, according to the National Weather Service San Diego, causing localized fire weather conditions through Tuesday ahead of moderate to strong Santa Ana winds peaking on Thursday.The high wind weather is expected to last Wednesday night into Friday, the NWS said. Winds will gradually weaken next weekend, but dry air will remain in the county."It is already starting out dry preceding this next event which is not good," the NWS wrote. "Relative humidity will plummet further and by Thursday, single-digit and teen relative humidity could drive all the way to the coast."The county can expect to see temperatures steadily rise 5 to 10 degrees above normal west of the mountains and about 3 to 6 degrees above normal elsewhere into Tuesday, NWS says.Despite this, cooler temperatures will work their way into the county overnight."Nights will remain cool, especially for the wind-sheltered areas. Local breezy conditions will continue below the passes and on the coastal slopes of the mountains each night and morning," NWS said. 1193
SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Students and staff at Morse High School may have been exposed to tuberculosis, according to the San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency. According to the agency, the periods of exposure were from June 17 to July 26 during summer school, then again from August 26 to September 10. Health officials and the San Diego Unified School District are working to notify those who may have been exposed. Testing will be provided on September 24 from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Morse High School for students identified as potentially exposed. The district is providing testing to staff who may have been exposed. Tuberculosis is transmitted from person to person through indoor air during prolonged contact with someone who is infected. “It is important that we identify those who have had prolonged close contact in an enclosed space with the TB case and test them since the initial infection usually has no symptoms,” said Wilma Wooten, M.D., M.P.H., County public health officer. “Early diagnosis and prompt treatment can prevent the infectious form of the disease.”Symptoms of TB include persistent cough, fever, night sweats and unexplained weight loss. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Seven people were hospitalized Tuesday after two multi-vehicle crashes on Interstate 5 in the Torrey Pines area.The crashes were reported on southbound I-5 near State route 56 just before 1 p.m. Two car crashes — one four-car crash and one three-car crash — occurred in the area, forcing a complete shut down of I-5 for about an hour, according to California Highway Patrol officer Jim Bettencourt.At one point, the CHP's incident log listed as many as a dozen vehicles possibly involved in the crash. The two crashes caused a traffic backup extending to Loma Santa Fe Dr. in Solana Beach.Seven people were taken to Scripps La Jolla Hospital with moderate injuries, according to San Diego Fire-Rescue spokesperson Mónica Mu?oz.The cause of the crashes was not immediately known. 805

According to the National Endowment for the Arts, the San Diego Chinese Historical Museum, San Diego History Center, San Diego Museum of Art and Visions Art Museum will all be offering free admission this year.
