(KGTV) - Not many people have a Coronado bridge story like Bertha Loaiza.Loaiza was 3-years-old in August of 1985 when her mother jumped from the 246-foot tall bridge holding her.The mother and daughter were unconscious when fisherman pulled them out of the harbor. 24-year-old Angelica Medina never took another breath, but responders were able to resuscitate Bertha.“Honestly it’s hard for even me to believe,” said Loaiza, who suffered a broken hip and cataracts in her right eye from the incident, “My memories blocked out — but I’m good now.’Growing up, her family told her that her mother died in a car accident, but she figured out the real story as a teenager after watching an old news clip.“It makes me sad she didn’t have the resources that are available to everybody today,” said Loaiza.Now 36, Loaiza says she was angry at her mom when she first found out. The personal-finance website compared the attractiveness of each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia for a working mother based on 15 key metrics, such as median women’s salary, female unemployment rate and day-care quality.California ranked 13 out of 51 in the overall tally. (KGTV) — Tennessee authorities arrested a man after they say he robbed a Subway restaurant and returned to retrieve his sandwich.Zachary Miller, 34, was arrested in Tennessee after robbing the Gwinnett County, Ga., restaurant on Oct. 9, according to Atlanta ABC-affiliate WSB-TV.Police said Miller ordered a sandwich and as he was checking out, he jumped over the counter and demanded money.MAP: Track crime happening in San Diego CountyHe was reportedly given 0 and then he fled the store.Police said video showed Miller then run back into the store and grab his sandwich before he ran away again.Miller reportedly had active warrants in both Tennessee and Georgia, according to WSB-TV, and is accused of robbing restaurants in both states. 752
