SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — More people have tested positive at the San Diego Convention Center, which has been serving as a shelter for San Diego's homeless since April.Regular testing has been conducted at the Convention Center since the shelter opened, but there was a rise in positive cases starting with tests administered on Dec. 3. Since then, there have been 120 positive cases detected. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash in City Heights, that has turned into a stolen vehicle case.It started when a red SUV crashed into a Black SUV on the corner of Euclid and Polk Avenues around 4:30 p.m. Friday.A man and woman fled the scene. Police say the man was carrying a black backpack. Paramedics were called to the scene, but no one was hurt in the crash, according to police. According to the DMV, when they ran the plates of the stolen car, it didn’t match the vehicle they had on file. 553

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Police are searching for the suspect who reportedly robbed a Subway in San Diego’s Corridor neighborhood at gunpoint early Sunday morning. According to police, the robbery happened on the 3300 block of University Avenue around 3 a.m. Sunday. Police say the man walked into the shop, pointed a gun at an employee and demanded cash. After the employee handed the suspect an unknown amount of cash, the man fled the scene. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, five feet, nine inches tall and “very thin.” He was wearing a black hoodie, black mask and black pants, police say. 608

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) – Monday afternoon, the San Diego City Council rescinded regulations on short-term rentals in an 8-1 vote. On Aug. 1, the council voted 6-2 in favor of rules to regulate short-term vacation rentals in San Diego. The regulations were set to take effect in July 2019.  These regulations limited the rentals to primary residences, which would force some investors or owners of more than one home to sell their properties or rent them out long-term.City Councilwoman Lorie Zapf was Monday’s lone vote against the repeal.The group Share San Diego called Monday's vote "an important step towards fair and effective short-term rental regulations." 690
