Don't call it a comeback!Honestly, don't call it a comeback. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is still retired from the sport of boxing – undefeated record intact. The rumors of his impending UFC debut, on the other hand, are growing and it's a step into an entirely different combat sport. Many people are doubting Mayweather's ability to compete in the UFC, or MMA in general, but all indications are that he's supremely confident. Is there any way that a 40-year-old Mayweather can beat a 30-year-old Conor McGregor in MMA? No.That doesn't mean that there aren't other fighters that'll line up to challenge the self-proclaimed T.B.E (The Best Ever) and there's not like there isn't a precedent for the inexperienced jumping straight into the Octagon. [Cough] C.M. Punk [cough].Floyd Mayweather Sr. recently voiced his opinion on Mayweather Jr. trying his hand at MMA and his answer was shocking, to say the least.“The way I see it, I have to believe that this is where it’s going. The way it looks, I think so,” said Mayweather Sr."As his trainer, no, as his father, no. I want him to have all the money he’s got. The money he’s got, he’s got enough money. Look here, it’s crazy money, man jumping up. He’s his own man though, that’s one thing about him.”Personal feelings aside, Mayweather Sr. did give an honest assessment of Jr.'s chances in the UFC.“I’m gonna tell you the truth about it, I think he can win a few fights but I think it’s best to leave it alone. You can do your own thing but you’re in somebody else’s playground now and holes and stuff is in there. You just can’t do that. Don’t get me wrong, I believe he can beat some of them fighters like the same as he did with the other guy but it ain’t worth it. Any time you did what he's done did, there ain’t no other way he can go right now but backward. That’s the only way he can go right now.”At the end of the day, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is all about money and making more of it. If the UFC can drum up enough money to partner with Mayweather and offer a comparable opponent, [cough] C.M. Punk [cough], then it's far from impossible. At one time people scoffed at McGregor jumping into the boxing ring to challenge an undefeated Floyd Mayweather... We know how that story ended. 2241

Due to a coin shortage at the Federal Reserve, Kroger will no longer return coin change to customers. Instead, the remainders from cash transactions can either be donated to charity or applied to the customers' loyalty cards to be used on the next purchase. The change in giving change also applies to subsidiaries of Kroger, including Ralphs, Food 4 Less, King Soopers, Smith's and more. Kroger officials said, "at Kroger, we are implementing several creative solutions to minimize the impact to our customers. We know this is an inconvenience for our customers and we appreciate their patience. The Treasury Department expects the shortage to diminish as more regions of the country reopen."Customers have the following options if coins are not available:Round up to support Zero Hunger, Zero Waste FoundationPay with a form of payment other than cashHave their coin change loaded as credit toward their next purchase directly to their loyalty cardCustomers using self-checkout will still be able to receive coins. There are multiple reasons leading to the current coin shortage. The U.S. Mint has slowed production to keep employees safe from the coronavirus. With stay-at-home orders and business shut-downs, fewer people are spending coins at stores, laundromats, vending machines and other places. Walmart and CVS locations have also made changes to encourage customers to use exact change or plastic to pay for their items when possible. The Federal Reserve rationed coins in June and gathered a task force to look into the shortage to come up with possible solutions. This story was originally published by Rebekah Pewitt at WTVF. 1644

Earlier this week, Russian president Vladimir Putin said that his country has produced a vaccine against the coronavirus, but American-based experts have expressed concerns over the efficacy of the vaccine, and whether the country cut corners in its production.Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said in an interview with ABC News’ Deborah Roberts that he has concerns that the vaccine has not had a chance to be fully studied by scientists."I hope that the Russians have actually, definitively proven that the vaccine is safe and effective," Fauci said. "I seriously doubt that they've done that."Also in an interview with ABC News, Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar said that while the US hopes to have a vaccine produced soon, it’s important to have a one that is fully vetted by science.“The point is not to be first with a vaccine, the point is to have a vaccine that is safe and effective for the American people and the people of the world,” Azard told ABC.Russian Direct Investment Fund, which is a Russian governmental agency, says that the vaccine has quickly garnered demand throughout the world, with 20 countries requesting the vaccine."We can confirm that 1 billion is the request, actually slightly more than 1 billion, is the amount of preliminary requests we received from more than 20 countries so far,” Kirill Dmitriev, CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, said. While Putin did not confirm if he had taken the vaccine, he said that his daughter was received it.While the US has a number of ongoing trials, it appears that a vaccine is still months away from getting approved. And then getting a vaccine to millions of Americans could take additional time.President Donald Trump said he is ready to employ military resources in order to quickly distribute a COVID-19 vaccine. There is immense pressure on the US to produce a vaccine with more than 1,000 Americans dying from the coronavirus per day in recent weeks, according to Johns Hopkins University data.“I feel strongly that we will have a vaccine by the end of the year and it will be put in service maybe even as we get it because we are already set militarily, we are using our military to distribute the vaccine,” Trump said. 2284

Editor's note: This article contains details and information about an ongoing case that some people may find disturbing.New court documents reveal new evidence behind the search at Chad Daybell's Idaho home, which led to the discovery of the bodies of 7-year-old JJ Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan.JJ and Tylee were reported missing in late 2019. Their remains were found in Rexburg, Idaho, earlier this month on property owned by Daybell, their stepfather. The children's mother, Lori Daybell (née Vallow), was arrested in connection with their disappearance earlier this year.According to the probable cause affidavit for Daybell's arrest, the remains of one child was found wrapped in plastic and sealed with duct tape. The other was burned and buried next to a pet cemetery on the property. The documents also state that in the days before JJ's and Tylee's disappearance, Lori Daybell referred to her children as "zombies" in a conversation with a friend.Lori Daybell said part of her and her husband's religious beliefs was a mission to "rid the world of zombies."The document states that a "zombie refers to an individual whose mortal spirit has left their body and that their body is now the host of another spirit."Lori Daybell told a friend that JJ had become a zombie, loved Satan, and that the boy's "an increased vocabulary" was also evidence that JJ was a zombie. That same friend observed JJ's behavior and noted that it was the same as she had always seen him.TIMELINE: Investigation into Lori Daybell, disappearance of JJ Vallow and Tylee RyanCourt documents also state that GPS tracking put Lori Daybell's brother, Alex Cox, on Chad Daybell's property near the burial sites on Sept. 9 — one day after JJ and Tylee was last seen.Cox later died on Dec. 11. Authorities have since determined Cox's death was of natural causes. On the day officers searched Chad Daybell's home on June 9, he was seen observing officers conduct the search. When officers found the remains, he attempted to drive away and was later caught. Both Lori and Chad Daybell are now behind bars. Dick's Sporting Goods, the nation's largest sporting goods retailer, will stop selling assault-style weapons like the one used in the Parkland, Florida, high school shooting. The company said it will also raise the minimum age for all gun sales to 21. Dick's will not sell high-capacity magazines that allow shooters to fire far more rounds than traditional weapons without reloading, as well as other accessories used with weapons similar to the AR-15.The Parkland shooter, Nikolas Cruz, bought a gun at Dick's. The company said he did not buy the AR-15 that he used in the school shooting there. The company stopped selling those military-style semiautomatic weapons in its Dick's-branded stores after the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting in 2012, but it continued to sell those weapons at its 35 Field and Stream stores. Now it will pull those weapons from all of its stores.Walmart, the nation's largest retailer and a major seller of firearms, announced it would stop selling the military-style semiautomatic weapons in August 2015.There have been widespread calls for tougher gun control measures in the week since the school shooting. We at DICK'S Sporting Goods are deeply disturbed and saddened by the tragic events in Parkland. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the victims and their loved ones. https://t.co/J4OcB6XJnu pic.twitter.com/WmT50BO7mx— DICK'S Sporting Goods (@DICKS) February 28, 2018 1428
