DENVER -- A Colorado man’s vacation in Hawaii took a terrible turn this week when he was attacked by a shark.Dylan McWilliams, 20, was bitten by a tiger shark while surfing in Hawaii.McWilliams received stitches and will be okay, but he could be named the most unluckiest – or luckiest –guy in Colorado.“Yeah, this isn’t my first time being bitten,” McWilliams told Denver7 over a FaceTime call. “Last summer I was attacked by a bear in Boulder. It dragged me out of my tent by my head.”Scripps Denver affiliate KMGH-TV spoke with McWilliams last summer following the attack. He received several scars on his head but ended up okay.“I fought off the bear as much as I could until it dropped me and let me go,” McWilliams said.Less than a year later, and McWilliams gets bitten by a Tiger Shark in Hawaii.“I felt something hit my leg, and I looked down and there was a lot of blood and I saw the shark underneath me,” McWilliams said. “I started swimming as fast as I could to shore.”McWilliams said the shark looked to be between six and eight feet long.But the bear and shark attacks haven't been the only two times he's had a dangerous encounter with wildlife.“When I was sixteen, I was in Utah and I was walking outside and thought I kicked a cactus and it ended up being a rattlesnake,” McWilliams said. “It bit me too.”Denver7 reporter Tomas Hoppough jokingly told McWilliams through the FaceTime call that he is a Colorado version of Steve Irwin – the Crocodile Hunter.“That’s funny you say that because Steve Irwin has been my hero since I was a kid,” McWilliams said. “I always wanted to be like him.”McWilliams will need to stay out of the water during his vacation as his wound heals, but said he will be okay.“I don’t know if I’m unlucky, or really lucky,” McWilliams said. “But my dad said I need to buy a lottery ticket or something.” 1875

(KGTV) - Work to repair two washout areas near the train tracks on the Del Mar bluffs will lead to a partial rail closure this weekend, the North County Transit District said Wednesday. A project team was able to move up the repair timeline from January to Dec. 14-15, according to the NCTD. The washouts were first reported during a storm over the Thanksgiving holiday. All rail operations from the Solana Beach train station to Santa Fe Depot downtown will be halted and replaced with bus bridges for COASTER trains. DETROIT — A clash between Detroit police and protesters was caught on camera Sunday night.Video shared on Twitter shows a group of protesters marching near Waterman and Vernor Highway in Detroit. The peaceful demonstrators surrounded a police cruiser, which pulls forward and into a group of protesters.Some protesters jumped onto the hood of the vehicle as it pulled forward.Leo Alvarado, who was at a nearby gas station, witnessed the altercation."Just so happened to be getting out with my wife when we heard a bunch of screaming and turned around, and cops were plowing through the crowd or started to drive through the crowd," Alvarado said. "Craziness. I've never seen anything like that in my life. Hopefully never again have to see anything like that."Alvarado said a medic treated cuts and wounds that were on demonstrators' arms. Details emerged about what happened to a Port St. Lucie, Florida woman and her boyfriend, both found murdered in their homes in February. He was transported to a local hospital where he died.“We have previously released that Chip Anderson died as a result of natural causes,” said Mascara. “Toxicology results have returned and indicated no presence of drugs or alcohol and his final cause of death has been ruled a heart attack.”At 9:58 a.m. that morning, deputies then responded to 606 Ash Avenue and found Legg dead inside her garage and wrapped in a rug. “Her cause of death has been contributed to multiple stab wounds,” Mascara said.Legg was Anderson's aunt by marriage."She was the primary figure in Chip Anderson's life. Both on an emotional and financial standpoint," Sheriff Mascara said. "It is very clear that Chip relied on Gabriele very immensely."Deputies also confirmed that Anderson worked with Legg in her painting business.“We don’t believe there was any sort of romantic relationship between them, but it’s clear that Gabriele was very important to Chip," said Mascara.The sheriff said Anderson lived with Legg and stayed in the house with her body for days. It is believed she was killed around Feb. 19."We believe she was killed in a bedroom. He kept her in that bedroom for sometime, and then dragged her through the house. Because of his heart condition, he couldn't make it all the way to the garage," said Mascara.Days later, Anderson then killed Legg's boyfriend, Gary Boice, in his own home by shooting him to death with Boice's own gun."Boice and Legg were in a relationship and were in the process of moving in together in Boice's home," said Mascara.Anderson stole Boice's car after the shooting, but as he drove away he suffered a heart attack."There was evidence that in the days after he stabbed Gabrielle, he went to the pharmacy to get heart medicine," said Mascara. Detectives also confirmed a motive."He was so angry about his emotional support system and financial support system leaving him, moving in with Gary Boice -- really they were kicking him to the sidewalk and didn't want him to be a part of this new relationship," said Mascara.According to the Sheriff, detectives found a .45 caliber Glock handgun on Anderson’s body and ballistics analysis has matched this gun to the casings found at Boice’s home.This case is now closed. 3310
