President Donald Trump might not be greeted with a warm welcome home when he and his family move from the White House to Mar-a-Lago once the soon-to-be-former president leaves office in January.According to The New York Times and The Seattle Times, a lawyer for the DeMoss family, who owns property next door to the resort, sent a letter Tuesday to the Town of Palm Beach and the U.S. Secret Service.The letter stated that Trump couldn't live at Mar-a-Lago because of an agreement he signed in 1993 when he converted the private residence into a private club, the Times reported.The Times reported that the letter pointed out that no one, including Trump, may reside there.Per the agreement, no one, including Trump, is allowed to spend more than seven days in a row at the resort, for no more than three weeks total a year, the Palm Beach Post reported.According to the Post, when Trump converted the residence into the club in 1993, his lawyer assured the council that Trump would no longer live at the club. 1018

(AP) — Officials say protesters in Portland smashed windows at City Hall in a demonstration that started Tuesday night and stretched into Wednesday morning.Police say they made 23 arrests as they dispersed the crowd in Oregon's largest city.Demonstrators in the crowd of about 150 threw bottles and eggs at police and put metal bars in the street to try to damage police vehicles.Police in a statement say they also smashed a security camera on the City Hall building.Portland has been gripped by nightly protests for nearly three months since the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis. 617

President Donald Trump claimed that up to 15,000 US troops could be sent to the border to deal with the group of migrants heading toward the US through Mexico."As far as the caravan is concerned our military is out, we have about 5,000-8 (thousand), we'll go up to anywhere between 10 (thousand) and 15,000 military personnel on top of border patrol, ICE and everybody else on the border," Trump told reporters Wednesday.The Pentagon has already announced 5,200 active duty troops are being sent to the border and has identified an additional 2,000 that could go. (KGTV) — Poway officials expressed shock Wednesday over a potential state fine after a water system failure that has led to a water boil advisory.The city is now in the fifth day of the precautionary water boil advisory after residents reported brownish water coming out of their faucets on Saturday. Poway has ordered restaurants to close, and is now handing out free crates of bottled water at multiple locations, including City Hall.On Wednesday, Sean Sterchi, of the state Water Resources Control Board, said he anticipates the state will fine the city for failing to protect its system from storm water. Sterchi told 10News Poway's system, built in the 1960s, is an old design that doesn't meet current standards. On Wednesday, the city announced a third round of tests that showed no issues with chlorine, bacteria, or clarity.
