A Catholic priest was beaten while praying at his church in Merrillville, Indiana, and authorities are investigating the attack as a hate crime.The Rev. Basil John Hutsko told police he was attacked Monday morning inside the St. Michaels Byzantine Catholic Church as he was praying in the sacristy.The attacker "grabbed him by the neck, threw him down on the floor and immediately started slamming his head against the floor. Both sides, front and back," Merrillville Police Chief Joseph Petruch told CNN affiliate WBBM.The assailant left Hutsko battered, bruised and unconscious. And during the assault the attacker yelled, "'This is for all the little kids,'" Petruch said.It was an apparent reference to the clergy sex abuse scandal that has rocked the Catholic Church in recent years. His wife was awarded million in damages.Banker Stephen Lanzo said he used Johnson & Johnson products like Shower to Shower and Baby Powder for more than 30 years, and he claimed that inhaling the powder caused his mesothelioma, an aggressive and deadly cancer that impacts the lining of the lungs.Deposits of talc, one of the Earth's softest minerals, are often located near deposits of the minerals that constitute asbestos, and studies have shown the risk of cross-contamination during mining. A man used electronic purchase alerts from his bank on a credit card he never received, to track down an alleged crook within hours.In the early morning hours of June 21, Josh Blair noticed an alert on his Apple watch confirming a purchase he made at a nearby gas station.But Blair told KSBY he didn't spend at the gas station and, in fact, Blair said he never even received the new American Express card in the mail the purchase was made on.He decided to find out who was using his new credit card around Santa Barbara.Surveillance footage from Blair's apartment complex shows a man unlock the mailbox and withdraw the envelope containing Blair's credit card.After speaking with officials at the post office, Blair said he learned the key to the boxes was lost and the lock had not yet been replaced.Throughout the morning, a series of charges hit Blair's account, all within miles of his home. So after filing a police report, he decided to track the crook himself."I talked to a friend earlier and he said 'OK, be careful.' And I said 'I guarantee I catch him within 24 hours,'" Blair recounted. "It was actually two hours from that time, I remember. I didn't spend much time thinking about what would happen."Throughout the afternoon, Blair raced from business to business as charges appeared on his card, each time, just missing the thief.Then, Blair got a charge alert from the newly opened hotel and restaurant, so he rushed over and spoke to the bartender."He was like 'yea, I'm sure that guy was just here, he just left the bar. I believe he's staying here, let me go check,'" Blair recalled. "He did that then came back and said the guy just ran out in the parking lot. He told me where, so I ran after him and so did the bartender, he helped me out. A famous guitar making company that's been in business more than 100 years could be headed into bankruptcy.A report by the Nashville Post in early February states Gibson Guitar is facing huge debt obligations. Gibson's Chief Financial Officer, Bill Lawrence, left the firm six months before 5 million of senior secured notes were due to mature. Lawrence had been working for the company for little over a year before he left, reports say."Another 5 million in bank loans will come due immediately if those notes, issued in 2013, are not refinanced by July 23," the Nashville Post report says.Bond holders are frustrated.The Gibson company recently sold a former Baldwin Piano warehouse in The Gulch. The warehouse was sold for .4 million, the Nashville Post says."It also is trying to sell the nearby Valley Arts building on Church Street, although that deal has landed in court.
