A young boy who was abandoned at a Goodwill drop-off in Mississippi is now with Child Protective Services and police have at least one suspect in custody.Southaven police posted on social media Monday about the boy, who they believe is about 2 years old. They told WREG he had a change of clothes, some food and a note written on a paper towel that read, “child abandoned … no phone number for mom.”Southaven is just south of Memphis across the Mississippi border.The boy was unable to give his name or the names of any parents or relatives to officers, and they posted to social media asking the public for help identifying any relative or possible suspects.Later Monday afternoon, police said they received numerous tips in addition to surveillance video."Southaven Police received numerous tips, and with the assistance of F.B.I. offices in both Mississippi, and Tennessee, along with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department a suspect related to this case was taken into custody in Memphis at approximately 15:30 hours. At this time the investigation is still on going, no suspect information or charges are being released," they posted on Facebook. “Chief Moore would like to thank all of the citizens who showed concern for the child, rest assured he is well, and being taken care of and will be re-united with family when CPS determines this is proper,” police added later on Facebook. 1398

"This ends with a tragedy of six. ... A woman died of COVID-19 while aboard a Spirit Airlines flight between Las Vegas and Dallas earlier this year, according to USA Today and The Washington Post.According to USA Today, the July 24 flight was diverted to Albuquerque, New Mexico after a member of the flight crew reported that the woman was unresponsive. The woman was pronounced dead on arrival.News of the woman's death was announced Sunday by Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins while giving an update about the virus. Jenkins noted that the woman, who was in her 30s, had underlying health conditions.A spokesperson told USA Today that officials at the Albuquerque International Sunport did not learn until later that the woman had been infected with COVID-19, and treated the emergency as they would any other health emergency.A spokesperson for Spirit Airlines told The Washington Post that the airline has offered condolences to the woman's family and that it is confident in its procedures in dealing with the virus.“Our Flight Attendants have in-depth training to respond to medical emergencies and utilize several resources, including communicating with our designated on-call medical professionals on the ground, using onboard medical kits and personal protective equipment, and receiving assistance from credentialed medical personnel traveling on the flight,” Spirit Airlines told The Washington Post. 1381

After dozens of puppies were found in rural Pottawattamie County, Iowa with no food and water before being rescued Sunday, authorities ramped up their investigation into Young Gunz Kennel.They obtained a search warrant and confiscated items for several hours Tuesday.Sheriff deputies and animal control personnel hauled away a large number of kennels that were at the unlicensed facility, which was used for obedience and hunting training, as well as dog breeding. Investigators could also be seen snapping photos and collecting additional evidence that they could find at the site, which housed as many as 50 dogs before many of them were found inside their kennels severely malnourished. A total of four dogs have now been found dead, and 10 are missing.Copper was one of the dogs that was rescued on Sunday. When his owner Wil Beach picked him up, Copper had lost 20 pounds and was covered in feces. "He was very scared but still in high spirits, he was the same dog emotionally when I got him (back) than when I dropped him off,” says Beach.Beach says he took Copper and a 0 check to owner Dustin Young in January after high praises from friends.
