SEATTLE (KGTV) -- Newly released body camera footage shows the moment police officers nabbed a pair of thieves trying to walk out of a Seattle-area Costco carrying ,200 worth of laptops and vacuums.On March 14, South Precinct officers responded to a call at about 5:30 p.m. of a shoplift in progress at the Costco, police said. Loss Prevention officers inside the store recognized one of the suspects inside and said he had previously stolen items in the past and run out the fire exit. Responding Seattle Police Department officers spotted a female driver inside a black Toyota that was backed up to the store's emergency exit doors.  The officers pulled their patrol vehicle in front of the Toyota to prevent it from leaving and contacted the 18-year-old woman, police said.As police were talking with the woman, they could hear someone attempting to open the doors."Moments later, two suspects, a 30-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman opened the emergency doors and attempted to walk out of the store carrying stolen computers and vacuum cleaners," police said.Officers located a 7″ fixed blade from the male suspect. According to the security personnel, the suspect had carried a large knife in past incidents.The male suspect was later booked into the King County Jail for investigation of robbery, while the two women were booked for investigation of theft, police said. 1428

SAN YSIDRO, Calif. (KGTV) -- California Gov. Gavin Newsom met with San Diego leaders in San Ysidro Thursday morning to discuss border-related topics and what is being done to help migrants. Newsom hosted a round table discussion at El Rincon Restaurant in San Ysidro around 10 am."I don't have any hope... I don't have any faith in the people who are making the decisions," Luz Camacho Espinoza said. The entire table agreeing they're tired of the militarization at the border and spreading fear."Walking home from school I've now seen tanks, trucks, and carriers pass through my childhood streets," SDSU student Hector Castro said.One woman who grew up in San Ysidro chimed in, "there is no crisis here." Castro said the focus needs to shift to real crises like affordable housing and environmental health. "You know there's all this traffic, all these cars all these trucks all this gas, all this air pollution that's being placed on our town," he said.The leaders said it was important to educate the public that San Ysidro is a vibrant town, full of families, not a dangerous area full of criminals. He added the town is intertwined in many ways with Tijuana, saying not only are there families on both sides, and the economies rely upon the border remaining open.Owner of the family business El Rincon Restaurant, Edgar Alaniz, called upon Newsom for action, "I want to make it clear that if he wants to understand the community more he needs to visit the community more."Though the meeting was hosted in San Ysidro, a news release made no mention of whether or not Newsom would visit the border. Newsom's budget said immigrants up to age 25 would potentially be eligible for the coverage. The budget proposed spending an additional 0 million for the Medi-Cal expansion. SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- San Francisco police will stop responding to neighbor disputes, reports on homeless people, school discipline interventions and other non-criminal activities as part of a police reform plan announced Thursday.Mayor London Breed said officers would be replaced on non-violent calls by trained and unarmed professionals to limit unnecessary confrontation between the police department and the community.Breed said the city will develop the plan over the next year and follow models like the Cahoots program in the western Oregon city of Eugene.That community-based crisis program employs social workers and mental health workers to respond to disturbances where crimes are not being committed. 721

SEATTLE (AP) — Starbucks says it will offer delivery in most of the U.S. by early next year.The Seattle coffee company launched delivery last fall in Miami with its partner, Uber Eats. It has since expanded to 10 additional U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, Chicago and New York.Starbucks says Uber Eats will remain its preferred provider as it rolls out delivery more widely.Customers in most areas where Starbucks and Uber Eats operate will be able to order drinks and other menu items. As it celebrates it's birthday as America's anthem, let's revisit a few more notable renditions.Jose Feliciano — 1968 World SeriesFeliciano was among the first artists to deviate from the traditional playing of the anthem — and he did it in front of a nationwide audience. With the country already divided by the Vietnam War, Feliciano's rendition outraged many. Newspaper reports called Feliciano's performance "disgraceful," and some called him a "hippie."Despite the controversy at the time, Feliciano was invited back to Detroit to sing the anthem 44 years later before a Tigers playoff game, where he received unanimous applause.Jimi Hendrix — Woodstock (1969)Prior to Hendrix's performance at Woodstock, it was hard to imagine the national anthem being played on an electric guitar. Now, it's considered one of the most iconic renditions of the anthem ever performed.Roseanne Barr — San Diego, 1990Comedienne Roseanne Barr is not known for her singing voice, and it showed during her rendition of the anthem prior to a baseball game between the San Diego Padres and the Cincinnati Reds. President George Bush disagreed.For her part, Barr maintains her version of the anthems was better than Fergie's.Whitney Houston — 1991 Super BowlWith the country newly entangled in a foreign war and security tensions high at the world's biggest sporting event, Houston delivered perhaps the most stirring and inspiring live performance of the anthem in the song's history. Even after her death, Houston's performance at the Super Bowl remains one of her most played songs.Jack Black — Los Angeles, 2011Black is most known for his slapstick comedy, so it must have been strange for fans of the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks step to the mic for the anthem in 2011.However, Black is one half of the musical duo known as Tenacious D, and showed off his pipes in the 2003 comedy "School of Rock." Whether or not the Staples Center crowd was ready for it, Black went out and delivered a stirring rendition of the "Star Spangled Banner."Jesse McGuire — 2013 NFL PlayoffsThough the national anthem is played and sung live dozens of times each day, it's not often that an instrumental version of the anthem is played solo.
