SEATTLE (AP) — Since September, six sea lions have died from gunshot wounds in central Puget Sound and Kitsap County, Washington.The Seattle Times reports that another seven are suspected to have died from "acute trauma" caused by humans, including a decomposed sea lion with its head sliced off found washed ashore Tuesday in a West Seattle cove.That's according to Seal Sitters Marine Mammal Stranding Network, a group that responds to reports of stranded or dead sea lions.Michael Milstein, a NOAA Fisheries spokesman, has confirmed the deaths of five California sea lions in West Seattle, including four that died of gunshot wounds.NOAA Fisheries law-enforcement agents are investigating these crimes, which are prohibited under the Marine Mammal Protection Act.Between 1998 and 2017, National Geographic reported up to 700 California sea lions were found with gunshot and stab wounds in waters off California, Oregon and Washington. 955

They are this year’s most crucial back-to-school accessories. Part of the reason is high demand and disruptions of supply chains that have jammed production of laptops and Chromebooks made by Dell, HP, Lenovo and other brands. (KGTV) - Months after the massive Equifax data breach, a North County couple got some heart-dropping news from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).    Jennifer, who asked 10News not to identify her full name, says her accountant was just about to e-file her taxes when she got the letter from the IRS."It said we needed to verify that we filed, and if we had not filed, we had to call them immediately to tell them we hadn't filed," said Jennifer.RELATED: Equifax finds additional 2.4 million impacted by 2017 breachIn short, someone had already filed in her name, raising the suspicions of IRS employees.    "You feel violated. SAN YSIDRO (CNS) - Police have little to go on today in the case of a 19-year-old who was shot in San Ysidro, authorities said.According to the teen, he was standing on the street by himself around 11:50 p.m. Saturday when it happened, said Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department.``He heard his name called,'' Heims said. ``He then heard several shots and felt pain to his back.''The victim fell to the ground, Heims said.He wasn't able to provide police with any other information about what happened.The teen was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.Police ask anyone with information to contact the SDPD Southern Division at 619-424-0400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-888-580-8477. 726
