She was waiting to fly to Philadelphia with her owner Diane Vanatter when she went into labor.  Tampa Fire Rescue was on hand to help deliver the puppies.   532

The Barron County Sheriff is asking the public for help in the search for 13-year-old Jayme Closs, who went missing after her parents were shot to death in their Barron, Wisconsin home. The sheriff said they need 100 people to help search the intersection of State Highway 8 and 16th Street at 2 p.m. in Barron. Barron County officials will be there to greet volunteers. Closs has been ruled out as a suspect in the double homicide and the sheriff says they believe she is in danger. Volunteers need photo identification and need to be able to walk over uneven terrain. Please wear proper footwear and bring your own water. Once 100 people are available, the sheriff said they will turn everyone else away.  745

The American Academy of Pediatrics said 61,000 children in the United States tested positive for COVID-19 last week.The medical professionals said the new child cases reported is the highest weekly figure since the pandemic began. The cases were reported in a one-week period that ended Oct. 29.The organization said that since the pandemic began up to Oct. 29, more than 853,000 children tested positive for the coronavirus. During October, nearly 200,000 new cases in children were reported by state health departments, who track the data"This is a stark reminder of the impact this pandemic is having on everyone – including our children and adolescents," said AAP President Sally Goza, MD, FAAP said in a press release. "This virus is highly contagious, and as we see spikes in many communities, children are more likely to be infected, too. Tennis star Venus Williams has reached a settlement in the wrongful death suit centered around a fatal car accident, according to court documents.The accident, in which the other driver's Hyundai Accent crashed into Williams' Toyota Sequoia, resulted in the death of Jerome Barson two weeks later. His wife, Linda, was driving and was injured when the crash happened at an intersection in Palm Beach Gardens.Court filings from last week show that the case was dismissed with prejudice after a settlement was reached between Williams and Barson's estate, but the settlement amount was not listed.No charges were filed against the tennis star and a second driver over the crash in June 2017, Florida authorities said.An investigation supported by video surveillance showed Williams did not violate the other driver's right of way, the Palm Beach Gardens Police said in an investigative report obtained by CNN affiliate WPBF."Based upon this investigation and relevant Florida state statutes, no charges will be filed in this case," the report said. 1054
