For the most part, we've already been sheltering in our homes as we all try to get a grip on the pandemic. And this holiday season, which started Thursday with the first day of Hanukkah, families are looking for ways to make it special.Rabbi Robert Nosanchuk says his team is helping families celebrate Hanukkah safely at home through live stream services online.“Many participants will light candles together on Zoom. So, we'll literally light up the internet,” Nosanchuk said. And while you may not be able to give gifts in person this year, you can still offer the traditional monetary Hanukkah gift virtually. But this year, Nosanchuk is asking families to focus ways to build a more peaceful and just society.“Whatever faith you may be representing, I hope you'll know that your Jewish neighbors are holding their Hanukkah menorah by the window to publicize that miracles do happen,” Nosanchuk said. “I pray strongly that we'll all be healed. We'll feel well in the new year.”This story was originally published by Taneisha Cordell at WEWS. 1051

I had early breast cancer detected by screening.”Dr. Halcomb said death rates have decreased since the 1970s due to more people getting diagnosed with breast cancer - early.“Mammograms detect breast cancer before someone can feel a breast cancer before the doctor can feel the breast cancer in the breast,” Dr. Halcomb said, “Mammograms are just as important as they’ve ever been.”Actress Kelly Preston just died from breast cancer at 57-years-old. FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Police say a central California man who called 911 and admitted stabbing his mother to death was later shot by officers after he advanced on them while clutching a kitchen knife.Twenty-two-year-old Miguel Carranza is expected to survive and is in custody on suspicion of murder. Carranza called 911 Saturday to report that someone had been killed at the Fresno home he shared with his mother and sister. As the conversation continued, the caller eventually told the dispatcher that he had stabbed his mother. Officials say he was shot after ignoring commands to drop the knife while walking toward officers. 637
