(KGTV) — Last week, police arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting at an Escondido movie theater that left one man injured in June.The 20-year-old suspect, whose name is being withheld to protect the investigation, was arrested on July 5, Escondido Police said in a release Wednesday. Police then executed a search warrant at the Escondido resident's home.The June 28 shooting occurred at about 8:45 p.m. outside the Regal Cinema on West Valley Parkway. Peter and Brunie LaBozzetta were high school sweethearts and soulmates. They were married for 37 years before Peter passed away from kidney issues and a chronic heart condition in February."It was very, very hard. He was my everything," said LaBozzetta.In the depths of her grief, her future daughter-in-law gave her a gift, a silver pendant LaBozzetta filled with her husband's ashes. She hung it in her car. Peter was usually the navigator during a lifetime of drives together. "He was my co-pilot, and I wanted that to continue,' said LaBozzetta.Instead, the ride came to a halt Saturday afternoon in an apartment carport off Borden Road. She got in her car and immediately noticed the pendant was gone."Panic, scared, anger," said LaBozzetta.The flurry of emotions was sparked by a car break-in. (KGTV) - The FBI and Escondido Police asked Thursday for the public’s help to find three men suspected of robbing a North County bank.The takeover-style robbery happened just before 10 a.m. on May 23, according to FBI Special Agent Davene Butler.The group backed an SUV against the front doors of the San Diego County Credit Union, 1875 S. Centre City Parkway, and went inside the bank.Investigators said the men were wearing masks and displayed handguns, ordering employees to lie on the ground, the FBI reported. Two of the men pointed their guns at different employees and demanded access to the vault. "I thought I was being tricked, but then I was like, no it’s us, it’s us!"Montejano's children attend the Escondido Boys & Girls Club after-school program.“The security that my kids get picked up, they’re watched, and I don’t have to worry about who’s watching my children," said Montejano.She explains it's been a difficult few years, with her older daughter battling addiction. The family adopted her daughter's two children, so now they take care of five.While Montejano can't donate financially to the Boys & Girls Club, she donates her time. (KGTV) – The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting in Fallbrook that left a person dead late Thursday night.The shooting was reported at around 10:30 p.m. in the 600 block of South Vine Street.Responding deputies arrived to find a person suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The shooting victim, who was not identified, was declared dead at the scene.Investigators are trying to determine the events that led up to the shooting.A description of the suspected shooter was not immediately available.
