CLEVELAND — Three suspects were arrested after an officer was shot and killed in Cleveland's Stockyard neighborhood Thursday evening.The unidentified suspects was arrested Friday morning.The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. in the 3200 block of West 65th Street near Storer Avenue, police said.The officer, later identified as Det. James Skernivitz, was rushed to MetroHealth Medical Center where he died from his injuries, according to the Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association.Police said another person was confirmed dead on the scene but was not a suspect.Skernivitz's identity was held pending the notification of his family, as he is married with children, police said.Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association said Skernivitz has been on the force for "a while," was "well-liked" and was a "good man.""This one hurts," Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association president Jeff Follmer said.Skernivitz was a 25-year veteran of the Cleveland Division of Police, authorities said."We definitely need the prayers of the people in the city. COSTA MESA, Calif. (AP) — A judge has put on hold a U.S. plan to quarantine up to 50 people infected with a new virus from China in a Southern California city. Costa Mesa officials asked for a court to intervene Friday after learning that federal authorities planned to move patients to facility in the city as early as Sunday. They said they were not included in the planning effort and wanted to know how the local community would be protected from the possible spread of the virus that has spread globally. Consumers, especially men, should not purchase or use two e-cigarette liquids that contain popular erectile dysfunction drugs, the Food and Drug Administration warned Tuesday.The two HelloCig e-liquids contain tadalafil and sildenafil, the main ingredients in two of the most popular male enhancement drugs on the market, the FDA said. "These FDA-approved prescription drugs are not approved for inclusion in e-liquid products sold over the counter and are therefore being sold illegally."By not properly labeling the e-liquids, the agency said, the company was not providing adequate warnings for the protection of users, specifically anyone with erectile dysfunction, high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol or heart disease who take nitrates to manage their condition."These undeclared ingredients may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs such as nitroglycerin and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels," the FDA said in its warning.A lab analysis found both sildenafil and tadalafil in E-Cialis HelloCig E-Liquid and sildenafil in E-Rimonabant HelloCig E-Liquid, both sold by Shanghai-based HelloCig Electronic Technology Co. Ltd.The company has not responded to a request for comment.Although no adverse events have been reported to the agency, all consumers should stop using the products immediately, the FDA said, and anyone who experiences side effects should report them to the FDA's MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program.The FDA says it sent a warning letter to HelloCig in October, citing a number of concerns about illegal marketing claims. HelloCig was misbranding and selling its products in the United States as an "FDA approved product with FDA," in violation of federal rules."FDA recently warned HelloCig of these issues and contacted the company several times to recommend they recall these products due to the risks to consumers. However, HelloCig has not responded to the agency's recommendation," the agency said in its warning.Bottles of E-Cialis HelloCig E-Liquid were sold with an image of a Cialis bottle and tablets, while advertisements on Twitter and Tumbir showed "a partially undressed couple embracing," the FDA says. The caption states, "WOOOOW, Have you tried our E-Cialis? It is amazing LOL."Though E-Rimonabant HelloCig E-Liquid contains the same active ingredient as Viagra, the FDA said HelloCig was marketing it with an image of an Acomplia container and tablets."Acomplia is the tradename of the anti-obesity drug product in Europe," the FDA warned. "Using the tradename of the drug product Acomplia and including an image of the Acomplia container and tablets next to the product on your website suggests that the product is intended to treat obesity."HelloCig did not respond to the initial warning, the FDA said.The manufacturers of Cialis has not responded to requests for comment. (AP) — A fatal shooting inside a Costco Wholesale warehouse store Friday night took place after a man attacked an off-duty police officer, the Corona Police Department said.Kenneth French, 32, of Riverside assaulted the Los Angeles Police Department officer while he was holding his young child, the department said in a statement Saturday night. The officer fired his gun, hitting French and two of French's relatives, the department said.French was killed, the department said. The relatives are in critical conditions at hospitals.The officer, whose identity is being withheld, was treated and released at a nearby hospital, and the officer's child was not injured, the department said.The officer was the only person who fired shots in the store, the department said.The shooting prompted a stampede of frightened shoppers to flee the store east of Los Angeles and seek cover inside.Witnesses said they saw a man with a Mohawk haircut arguing with someone near a freezer section when shots rang out at least six times.
