Next time I will wait for cops and bring a medical exemption."Many people are supporting Lenin, with people commenting saying things like “there’s no reason to publicly shame a kid who’s trying to work his shift like any other day.” Another saying “they are following what they're told. I understand your frustration But it's being at aimed at the wrong people." Someone else said, “if you cannot wear a mask, why not go through the drive through?"RELATED: California requiring face coverings for most indoor areasIn San Diego County, everyone is required to wear a mask while in public, however, there is a clause that says if a person has a health condition that prevents them from covering their face, they do not have to wear a mask.A spokesperson for the county said there is no official rule to enforce that policy and people with health problems are not required to have proof. The spokesperson also said it’s up to businesses to enforce county rules and advised anyone with health problems to avoid public places. Many people also commented on the post saying they want to give Lenin the barista a tip, so one man stepped in to help. Cowan said he’s been upping the goal amount as people continue to donate with plans to hand-deliver every penny to Lenin once it calms down. It just goes to show you there are a lot of good people out there and that outweighs the bad,” said Cowan.Lenin shared a picture of him holding a sign that says "Thank you everyone for the tips!!! SAN DIEGO (CNS) - Two additional suspects were arrested today in connection with a shooting that left a 20-year old man mortally wounded in a Bay Terraces-area neighborhood 16 months ago.Ethan Leland Apan, 28, and Kevin Herrera, 26, were jailed this afternoon on suspicion of taking part in the slaying of Joaquin Ruiz of San Diego, according to police.Another suspect, 26-year-old John Orozco, was taken into custody last Wednesday on suspicion of murder in the case, Lt. Andra Brown said Shortly after midnight on July 13, 2019, patrol officers responding to a report of a possible traffic accident found Ruiz unconscious and suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body in a vehicle alongside the roadway in the 7000 block of Paradise Valley Road.Paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police have not disclosed what led investigators to identify Apan, Herrera and Orozco as suspects in the case and have revealed no suspected motive for the slaying.``The District Attorney's Office is currently reviewing this case, which is still an ongoing investigation,'' Brown said. ``We will not be making any further comments or providing additional information at this time.'' 1216
SAN DIEGO (CNS/KGTV) - A federal judge in San Diego today ordered the Trump administration to immediately start new asylum screenings for eligible reunified families, despite objections from the government that the agreement has not been finalized.Under the proposed settlement agreement – which U.S. District Judge Dana Sabraw gave unofficial preliminary approval to last month – reunited migrant families would get a second chance at applying for asylum.Attorneys for the migrant families argued that when the families were separated at the border, most children were not interviewed to determine if they had a credible fear of returning to their native country. Their parents were granted interviews, but were so distraught after being separated that they didn't clearly advocate for themselves, attorneys said.Under the settlement, reunited migrant families still in the U.S. will be allowed to remain until all family members have completed the asylum process. When Sabraw unofficially approved the settlement, both sides agreed that the asylum determination process should get underway as soon as possible.Sabraw granted preliminary approval last week, paving the way for credible fear interviews to proceed within days of a migrant confirming his or her wishes to go forward with an asylum claim. The ruling appears to apply to about 60 people who are detained and had signed paperwork agreeing to the terms of the new process. It could end up applying to many more.Another status conference on the class-action lawsuit is scheduled next month. 1576
