President Donald Trump has been in office a little over a year now, but according to a survey from The New York Times, that's enough time for the sitting president to be ranked the worst in history.The 2018 Presidents & Executive Politics Presidential Greatness Survey ranked all 44 presidents in the history of the United States.Trump ranked at the bottom of the list, bumping James Buchanan, the president who played a key role in the Civil War, up to 43. Abraham Lincoln ranked first overall in the survey, which was the same as his ranking in the 2014 survey.The survey respondents were current and recent members of the President and Executive Politics Section of the American Political Science Association. Both Democratic scholars and Independents had Lincoln as their top president. Republican scholars ranked Washington as first and Lincoln as second. Democrats ranked Trump as 44th, Independents ranked him as 43rd, and Republicans ranked him as 40th.A few presidents' rankings shifted since the last survey in 2014. President Donald Trump predicted on Friday that the US would have enough coronavirus vaccines for anyone who wanted one to have one by April 2021.Trump’s timeline is a bit sped up compared to timeframes offered by several government experts, including CDC Director Robert Redfield and Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Fauci and Redfield have suggested the a potential coronavirus vaccine would be widely available by the middle of 2021.Trump said that the US would begin distributing vaccines within 24 hours of FDA approval of a vaccine, which he has suggested could happen as soon as the end of October.“We will have manufactured at least 100 million vaccine doses before the end of the year,” Trump said. “And likely much more than that. Hundreds of millions of doses will be available every month and we expect to have enough vaccines for every American by April. Again, I will say even at that later stage, delivery will go as fast as it comes, they can deliver.”Dr. Scott Atlas, a neurosurgeon who recently joined the White House coronavirus task force, agreed with Trump’s timeline. The highest risk Americans could expect to be vaccinated by January.“The people on the prioritized lists, including high risk and first responders will have the ability to take the vaccine. President Donald Trump said Friday that the White House was issuing a full pardon to Alice Marie Johnson, a woman who spent more than 20 years in prison for a first-time non-violent drug sentence.In 1993, Johnson was arrested in Memphis and charged in with several drug and money laundering charges. She was convicted and sentenced to life in prison three years later.A few years ago, reality TV star and criminal justice reform Kim Kardashian began publicly advocating for Johnson's release. President Donald Trump is laying the groundwork for a new international trade battle -- this time over cars.Trump said in a statement late Wednesday that he has asked Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross to consider investigating whether automobile imports are hurting US national security.The type of investigation Trump is suggesting, known as Section 232, is the same approach the White House took before it slapped tariffs on steel and aluminum imports earlier this year."Core industries such as automobiles and automotive parts are critical to our strength as a Nation," Trump said in a statement. PORT RICHEY, Fla. — Port Richey, Florida Mayor Dale Massad and his longtime girlfriend Caj Joseph were arrested Aug. 23 on domestic violence charges. Massad was arrested after deputies say he grabbed Joseph and pushed her to the ground.He was charged with a misdemeanor count of domestic battery which required him to spend the night in jail before his first court hearing Friday. In July, police went to Massad's house four dozen times, but he had never been charged with a crime.At the time, he blamed police activity on his girlfriends.“You look in there, see if I made any calls,” he said, pointing to police reports.Joseph, who was arrested Thursday for felony battery of a person over the age of 65, had been charged half a dozen other times for battery, violating protection orders and other crimes allegedly committed at Massad's home.“I'm a felon and I went back there and I don't want to be there,” Joseph told the judge.She also said she was unable to post a 0 bond to get out of jail.“I don't know how to get out of here. I don't have anyone I know.
